I can’t believe people on here don’t want Strome LOL. Do you guys want Kahun and some more nobodys on our LW?

Depends on the asking price. If they are willing to take Caleb Jones and a small plus in return then great. However, I'm sure Chicago will want way more than that just due to name value alone.
There are better, proven players in free agency who we can sign without giving up any assets for.

Chicago is trying to trade Dylan Strome. THAT is McDavid’s LWer

I would definitely take him if the ask isn't unreasonable. He has size and a good shot/goalscoring instincts and can play the net front on the PP if need be as well.

Seems like a good buy low candidate and Connor knows as well as anyone what kind of skill level and work ethic Dylan has. Honestly, outside of the PKing, IMO he'd be a cheap potential RNH replacement.

Adding DeBrusk + Strome would significantly deepen the forward corps. Of course you could run a standard config like

Strome McDavid DeBrusk
RNH Draisaitl Puljujarvi

But you could also do something like

DeBrusk McDavid Kassian
RNH Draisaitl Puljujarvi
Holloway Strome Yamamoto

Or something down the line and come at teams in waves. Still probably not enough sandpaper/grit for a Cup run, but at least you have some talented configs not just two players and "hope RNH isn't having a down stretch".

Do you guys just guess!?
Dylan Scratch. He failed at everything Chicago tried to get him to do. He started off with a couple of really really good wingers and managed to fail that job and went on to screw up pretty much everything from there.
Next to useless.
Moreover every GM in the league is now well aware of this.
We aren't a bad enough team for this guy ...send him to Buffalo.

He had 51 points in 58 games in his first year in Chicago. Even in his second year, he paced for about 53 points pro-rated which isn't far removed from Nugent Hopkins' usual 55 point type season. This past season he had a bad year but if he didn't he wouldn't be available in the first place.

I think he has game, dude didn't get selected no.3 overall in a deep draft for nothing.

If he can ride McDavid's coattails and pot some gimmes, that's fine. No one is asking him to come here and drive a line for 3 million dollars. Get some McGravy points, enough so that we can keep Leon on his own line, park your ass in front of the goalie on the PP and pot some goals whereas Chiasson would whiff 70% of the time.

Go back and watch the last 5 games he has played. Look at when he was scratched and why. His last few scratches were because he was bypassed by a rookie basically.

Chicago fans soured on him so much they dont even know if they want to protect him from vegas. That's saying something.

If I were them, I too wouldn't know whether to protect and shelter Strome from the mayhem & debauchery that is Vegas. But firstly, I would be more concerned about the expansion draft with Seattle, and then go from there.

I bet it'd take about three games for anyone who is interested in Strome to sour on him. He's a slow, soft and lazy skill guy who doesn't move his feet or hustle at all. No team that is serious about winning should have a guy like that on their roster.

I wonder if Drouin could be a good buy low candidate for a trade? Still a good 50 points player, with a good corsi.

You don’t win in the playoffs with a Drouin type of player unless you are very deep . Domi might be a better buy low player but I doubt it as CBJ gave up a lot to get him .

What I love to see is Pulju with Draisaitl. I think it's how he takes the next step.

He's a speedy puck carrier like McDavid, but when he plays with McDavid he tends to defer to him instead.

Draisaitl always does well with fast puck carriers.
