By all accounts this is his last chance to save his job and anything short of playoff success will result in no extension for him, so basically he doesn’t get this draft, so why not go all in? He has nothing to lose.

So you're saying someone should tell Holland to go for it or he's fired.

Rangers a contender f the deadline we're adding a sniper now {Taresenko} Leaf's contender f the deadline we're adding a shutdown center now O'Reilly also other depth. Holland maybe if I hold out to the deadline I can save a draft pick

As usual its over reacting and FOMO

Yep, that's exactly what it is. I'm not just afraid of missing out I'm terrified.

We're about to waste the best offensive season any player has put up since the early 90s because we've got a defense that isn't good enough and a manager that doesn't have the stones to do what it takes to fix it.

Imagine looking at this team and think 'yah, patrick kane, tyler bertuzzzi, or shayne ghostbear' will solve all of the oiler issues!

Get f***ed, Ken Holland.

After about how many years does criticism of Holland stop being “overreaction”? Five? Ten? When McDavid is being inducted into the HHOF wearing the jersey of the team he forces a trade to?

8 years of Connor McDavid, and the Oilers are still struggling to be a cup winning team.
Excuses, my f***ing ass. The kissassers of Ken Holland do the same old shit like they did with Chiarelli.

Overreaction much? Rofl.

Tell me its an overreaction when Kyle Dubas was able to move assets despite his team being in a cap crunch. Meanwhile Ken Holland's doing jack shit trying to use his dollar in dollar out as an excuse not to make a major move to improve this team.
Quit kissing the management's ass.

I didn't know the trade deadline passed already.

Yeah, that's said every year.
And then the Oilers will come up with Sam Lafferty and Shane Ghostbear because muh cap space, dollar in dollar out, and must protect the useless prospects and picks that will take longer than McDrai's contract to develop! Wooooo! Ken Holland best GM ever!

Don't worry, all month left for Holland to sabotage the team by keeping one of the better defenders out in California because he wants to hang onto Puljujarvi until 5 seconds are left before the deadline.

Because we totally don't need these points between now and the deadline.

Kinda like how this dude needed an 4 weeks to drag on before he realized he had to fire Tippett and even then still didn't want to do it.

Except Holland is nothing like Chia and the team improved leaps and bounds under him and had playoff sucess under holland, unlike Chia.

Everyone here is acting Holland is the worst Gm the oilers have had. He had added solid additions to this team. I contend oiler fans and worse than leaf fans when it comes annoying whining about something that hasn’t happened yet.

Holland as been a good GM for the Oilers, and despite what you read here, the Oilers are in a good position in the standings, but you’d think we are in last place reading some comments here.
