Just switch halfway through the season. Whites for 41 and Darks for 41. Or like everyone else says just let the home team pick.
If you can find it, I made a thread about this. I'm not sure how to post a link though. It really is 6 teams, holy shit.
No idea how imaginative this league is with colors. Probably why the Mighty Ducks were so novel.
Flyers are the only team in the East that isn’t blue, back, or red.
Wild (who once tried to be red), Stars, Predators, Golden Knights, Ducks. Avalanche depending on what you think Burgundy is.
If someone went to purple they’d be the highest sellers in the league.
Difference is football is played once a week. Teams don't want to carry all the extra equipment for road trips. Football has none of that.Agreed, I think this is basically how the NFL operates and it works fine.
Just because they can doesn’t mean they want too. Teams are always going to look for ways save money and saving weight means saving money on planes. This has come up a few times as a reason why they can't do this over the years but it's really silly.
Each player can fit two helmets in their own player bag which is already coming on the trip and then it's three extra bags/cases, one for the set of jerseys, one for the extra socks(which doesn't take up a ton of space) and one for extra helmets. It's really not that much stuff to take, especially for these teams that are already flying on private planes.
Changing from whites at home to darks is the best decision the NHL has made in the past 25 years. Reversing it would be monumentally stupid
Why would I want to see another team’s colours in my arena? Road teams could wear potato sacs for all I care.In your opinion. I think it is also monumentally stupid to not let the home crowd see the visiting teams colorful jersey’s.
Like I said, there is no reason the NHL can’t implement the home team wears white the first half of the season and darks the second half. Then let the home team choose in the playoffs like the NFL does.
I like seeing the variety of away teams tbh. Maybe wear the colors at home in the playoffs ?
One can argue that the point of any business is to get people to pay for a service or product that the business offPro sports is about emptying your wallet. Nothing more.
^ This. Don’t know why people don’t get it.I think they should do it. Gives the home crowd a chance to see road teams a lot more colorfully. As is, it's always Home Colors vs. White. Make the change and you get a major color change every game.
I think teams should use different shades of white.
