Andrae has started toying with the opposition. HA has become too easy for him so he dangles and dangles even as the last man since he can just take the puck back.

To become a star in the NHL he needs to reach this level in the SHL next year. It might lead to some bad habits but as an offensive d you need to balance risk/reward and that doesn't happen without learning from mistakes.

Iam confident the development in sweden is a lot better than the development in Philly! So pls let him stay 2 more years over in Sweden and be a star player in the SHL!

Iam with you that he needs SHL Time or he is undermatched (dont know the right word)

Speaking of "development," explain the difference between Andrae and Ginning.

Both 2nd round pick defensemen. Both have spent their careers in Sweden.

Did the Flyers "ruin" Ginning? Are they doing something miraculously different with Andrae?

Or is it simply that Andrae is a better player and was a better draft pick?

Andrae should only spend one year in the SHL, unless he struggles (in which case he's not as good as we hoped).
I'd expect him to start 2023 in the AHL, then come up once he's acclimated to NA ice, much like Lindblom

I think the transition year can hinder development in some cases if it comes too early. In the case of defensemen and two way forwards I'd consider giving them an extra year of development to improve their scoring before dealing with moving to a new country.

The SHL has a heavy defensive focus and next year the quality will go up a lot with the new players coming from the khl. Unless he's a top 5 defender in the league next year I'd give him one more season. My goal would be to have him ready for a top 4 role directly when he enters the league.

Last 20-25 games I really dont think there has been a better overall Dman in Allsvenskan.

What I love more than the points is he looks like J20 and J18 Andrae on D. The extra yard he managed to add in stride over summer alongside improving decision making and toning back aggression slightly means very rarely gets beaten and is looking like the zone entry denial machine he was vs younger age groups... but vs men.

It really is preposterous how well he has played the last 30 games or so. Just dominates.

Like, if he does not get a point, 3+ shots on goal and shuts down opponents while on ice while moving puck very well... it is a below average game for him.

Now, he is on a juggernaut. But he is a big part of reason they are that. He is their best Dman, which is no mean feat when they have Chad Billins who was a top pairing guy in SHL, a top pairing AHLer, and went to Olympics as one of best 6 US Dmen outside North America.

Björklöven's no 1 tactic has been to hurt the other teams stars, they got past Modo by going full bloodbath. Refs in HA doesn't use the whistle at all.
Björklöven managed to win tonight with Andrae being out of the lineup. HV71 is neutered without Andrae, Forsberg won the art ross equalient for HA but it really should have been Andrae. One of the best passers I've seen.

Any word on his injury and knowledge of his status for Team Sweden at the WJC U20 tournament?

Tough to measure his progress playing in Allsvenskan but HV71 returning to SHL should provide answers as to his potential.

Acc to the Flyers website, Andrae is due to captain the Swedish team at the August WJC 2 in a section explaining why he isn't at development camp.

2022 Flyers Development Camp FAQ

"Flyers 2020 second-round pick Emil Andrae is the captain of the Swedish national under-20 team's World Junior Championship squad and preparations are underway for the 2022 WJC in August. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021-22 tourney was abruptly halted and then the tournament was rescheduled for the summertime. Andrae also dealt with a late-season injury in 2021-22 after an outstanding campaign during the 2021-22 Allsvenskan season."
