Honestly a very good game after a slow start in the first. Score was close till the ENG, but winning against the Canes where they also didn’t totally dominate possession is significant. Have to steal one on the road for sure, but this was a real good start.
I mean, that's how they made the playoffs last year.
It Isn't pretty but it really can work (unfortunately) haha.

There wasn't any real adjustments coaching or scheme wise. The Caps just found their playoff energy finally.
Who else was cussing when Chychrun fell that lead to 2 on 1. Thank you TVR! That was spectacular by TVR.

True. But he was still able to make those changes. Once he gains experience, these tactical changes will start happening quicker.
Rod, for example, in my opinion, just doesn’t have that flexibility as a coach. His team plays exactly the same way all the time.

I yelled "That's what skating does!" when Duhaime drew the penalty that led to Carly's goal. That was so much better most of the night.

bacchist and kicksavedave, why are you angry at me? Leonard will be good for us, but he needs to learn the NHL level game more and put some weight(muscle) on in the offseason.

Sorry to push back on this, especially after a win, but it's a big deal. This is shaping up to be a super-close series. We need to play actual hockey all 60 minutes, not 50 minutes and Pitching Wedge Practice for the last 10 if we're up...
