Really is amazing to be behind by 1 goal but literally be zero threat to ever tie the game.

No doubt was one of the more pathetic playoff performances I have seen.

I agree I mentioned during game that it felt like
We could have played all night and not scored a goal. MAF and all

Still incredulous they are playing again tonight. Serious actual what the ****?

I don't expect a much improved effort tonight. Henrik will have to stand tall once again.

I would think that adding Diaz into the line-up for PP purposes would be a good idea. You can't be this bad on the PP and win.

He has to be given a chance on the pp and 5 on 5 is he that much worst than Moore?

I guess the only bright side to last night's game is that they played so stinky and still had a shot until Dorsett's dumb penalty. But yeah, that one goal lead felt like a three goal lead. We'll see what happens tonight.

last night is over.

we were manhandled and outworked. they had many many chances and we had few. if fleury had been in our net last night, we lose 8-0. if hank had been in their net, he would not have needed a shower.

when you get 3 straight pp chances in the 1st and you go full doofus, you probably lose the game. we did and well...we did.

girardi looked drunk all night. mcd not much better.

the pp killed us and our inability to generate any pressure in their zone made sure we scrambled around and defended for 60 straight minutes. all we did last night was hold on and hang on and try to bend and not break.

henrik did his part. the rest, not so much.

BUT... we were on the road and they had a must win situation. we held off their initial burst and had the game on a platter with a dead building and the crowd sitting on their collective hands but we squandered that with the pp from hell.

the rest was easy to predict. pens with makeup call pp chances. us on our heels running around. the crowd going crazy and our inability to mount any pressure due to tired legs.

new game tonight. were home and we should be rested and ready although back to back isnt easy.

adding diaz to the pp point is a good idea. something needs to change. keep girardi and mcd off the pp. let diaz and stralman have a chance.

win tonight and were fine. no need to panic. its 1-1 and its going 6 prob 7 anyway.

watch these 2 guys tonight. zuke and st louis. the little guys will show up bigtime in game 3. bank on it.

The loss is in no, way, shape or form the refs' fault. They failed to capitalize on 3 PPs they got within the first 10 minutes of the game.

They were outplayed at ES too.

The Penguins were the better team. Saying the refs missed interference and diving (which BTW, sounds like things Flyer fans were saying last round) is a copout. I didn't notice much diving or embellishing last night anyway. There is ALWAYS interference in playoffs. That goes from teams like Detroit to Chicago to even the Rangers. There was so much interference in the Chicago/Detroit series last year, especially by Detroit. But Chicago overcame it, which is what the Rangers need to do. People should stop blaming scheduling and refs. They were outplayed, simple as that.
First of all, let me apologize for not being able to quote my other post. I'm rather new here. That being said, the fact that the Rangers were unable to score on the power play doesn't negate others that SHOULD be called. To your flyers point, as I have asked in a previous post, how many embellishment calls were the Rangers called for in that series? Zuccarello for Christ sake!

I had no issues with the officiating.

If its been brought up, it seems to just be a distraction from the poor performance of the Rangers.

From what i saw, and i didnt see the whole game, it looked to me that the Pens just imposed their will. I didnt really see it as the Rangers playing poorly. It just looked like the Rangers were overmatched. Gotta give the Pens their due.

Disagree. The Rangers played like ****.

How. come the Rangers never play well and lose? Oh, I forgot. Those are the games when Hank sucks, because we all know that if Hank and the Rangers play well, they will win.

After all, they are the best team in hockey.

Again, I say that if MDC is THAT hurt, then he needs to come out of the lineup for Diaz.

Yes, a very soft team physically and mentally which had 96 points during the season are 1-1 in the second round of the playoffs. What a soft team!
Not really at all what is being discussed.

When St Louis, got cross checked, Nash trailing the play, saw St Louis got down and just taps the pens player with a soft cross check. Dude ur going to get 2 minutes anyway, u hit the guy hard enough, break the dudes ribs and let them know we are not gonna take our star players targeted.

They were made to look like that by a team which was superior to them on every level. That and the utter lack of anything that resembled effort adds up to looking like ****.

Phew! I was starting to think they did look like ****.

Now that I know the Penguins were superior in play, and the boys didn't give a rats ass, I'm letting the game slide.
