this was a 12 player draft and us and Dallas were left holding our ***** i would have easily packaged that 2nd to move up to assure up one of dobson or wahlstrom. The drop off after them was severe.
Why would the isles do that? Would you do that move if you were the Isles? Draft fell perfectly for them...

And how cool is it we got 2 high caliber USA forwards? Been a while where I can have an interest in Team USA at junior/senior levels.

Not sure about that one. No one in the organization might be faster than Frost.

ive watch a variety of frost highlights, ive never seen him generate a breakway. Blue line to blue line i always thought he looked average to above average. However his quickness in tight spaces is special. If you can point me in the direction of a video that better captivates his speed i would appreciate it.

I thought hexxy could have traded back and acquired another assrt and picked obrien. His d+1 will be crucial in seeing how he does against a higher level of competition. I like the player though
Considering Hexy was on the phone before they made the pick, I would guess there was an offer on the table but he probably didn't want to drop back too far and he called back to let the team know that they were making the pick. Someone on the broadcast (I think Pierre) mentioned the Rangers with two picks were looking at him. Not that I think Pierre is an insider, but considering how he was babbling on about the kid I'm sure he had some info. Hextall even admitted on the broadcast it was probably a reach by consensus so I don't think they would have taken the kid if they didn't really like him (much like Frost last year).

As for next year, I wouldn't freak out if he doesn't light up the scoreboard. He's going from High School hockey straight to Hockey East. That's a big jump and Providence isn't exactly a run 'n gun team. Mittelstadt went from Minnesota HS hockey to the Big Ten and wasn't even a PPG player.
