Difficult to do when your hands are full :sarcasm:

They have been getting it pretty bad. Or well Marner has. attacking his personal social media accounts. Hate leafs fans.
I'm just extremely disappointed in Marner and Matthews. not even mad. or well I am a little but Ill get over it.
If they lose I just don't know what could be done to help fix the problem.
I'm going to completely stay away from bashing or singling out players. I'm going to hold the entire team accountable if we lose.

Should have closed it out by now, I'm shocked after going 3-1. makes me feel like we already lost before the puck even dropped.

Why in the world you’d be mad at them? Quite sure they’re trying their best like pro’s do.

Attacking them would only make them want leave the team and leave Leafs with nothing.

ahhh yes my thread on Mitch Marner penalties got shut down by the Bias Toronto MOD again, a classic from him. such a power hungry mod.

So, this got shutdown for no reason whats so ever and the stats behind it is UNIQUE

Mitch Marner has 12 career PIMS in the playoffs (six minor penalties).

Here they are:

2018 Game 2: Puck over glass
2018 Game 6: Puck over glass
2019 Game 5: Puck over glass
2020 Game 4: Tripping
2021 Game 1: Puck over glass
2021 Game 6: Puck over glass

5/6 is puck over glass due to pressure and him escaping hits.
Very interesting stat, and super rare for this to happen in the NHL, probably an all time record of some sort, deserves its own thread.

As a leafs fan my top two reasons to hope and top two reasons to be nervous.

To be nervous:

1.) Price is Price. He’s straight stolen at least one game and been crazy in a couple others. He could easily stand on his head and win the game on his own.

2.) Habs have a few players who can make a difference who have been pretty irrelevant so far. Gallagher is a guy I’m thinking of specifically for this. That poor play could easily end.

To hope:

1.) The Matthews’ line, and him specifically have been very good but have an unsustainably low shooting percentage. That can’t continue forever. Doesn’t mean it can’t continue for one more game, but there’s hope it doesn’t.

2.) Overall the Leafs have been at least a full step better than the Habs, they *should* be able to be the better team tonight. That doesn’t automatically translate to a win, but the hope is it does.

That’s extraordinary!!! Did not know that.

80% of career PIMS in playoffs = Puck over glass in D zone!!! Incredible, really.

I do not think that high pitched humming you hear emanating from seemingly everywhere is NOT the cicadas in the DC area. I believe it is the stress of Leaf’s nation fans literally vibrating the air waves.

When Perry + Armia numbers are pretty much the same as Matthews + Marner numbers (except for what they are being paid) you know you are in deep trouble.

I understand the frustration. But my god. Leafs are so quick to get downright nasty to their players. If I was Marner I'd probably want out of that market just based on the last 48 hours. People are just crucifying the kid on social media. Even though players say they aren't affected by it I don't see how you couldn't be.

every fan base acts this way when big money players aren't performing when it counts

When you're 1 of the highest paid players in the league (especially the way Marner went about it), criticism of poor play is certainly warranted IMO

So I’m thinking HF Boards plays out like this depending on the score tonight.

Leafs win and it’s on to round 2 and everyone calms down a bit.

Leafs lose and we get 100 Eichel for Marner threads in the next 4 months

- No Tavares
- No Muzzin
- Price is playing lights out
- Matthews is snake bitten
- Marner's a ghost
- perennial chokers...

No way the Leafs stand a chance to win this game. 4 - 2 Habs
They have more than enough talent to beat the habs. All these things should motivate them.
