So I was just told by my STM rep that all 1st round tickets are spoken for via the existing STMs and they are still at 6K capacity. Also he is tracking Sunday for game 1.

Here's to hoping Caniac Cooper raises the seating limits soon.
When I spoke to my rep yesterday, he didn't want to outright say it, but they are hoping to have all 18k+ fans in the arena for the 2nd round.

That Buffalo game was nationally televised and it was gross. A win would have had our squad playing the Lightning in round 1.
Yeah, I was at Virigina Tech at the time. It was nice because I drove down for a lot of games that year from Blacksburg. I had to listen to most of our games I didn't attend and watch highlights and Flavor of the Game they put up on the site. But as far as TV, I only got to watch the games against the Caps and that one. I drove an hour home because I didn't have OLN at my apartment and boy did that suck. But it all worked out in the end.

I would like to understand one thing, because I read from many places that there is this concern of having lost the last two games and that there may be a momentum that would shift in favor of our opponents.

Do so many people really think that the team, led by the coach we know very well, will be caught unprepared when the puck drops???

Unprepared, no. I absolutely think they will be very prepared.

What concerns me is that we've put up 89 shots in the last 3 games and 87 of them were stopped. That's a .978 save percentage by opposing goalies.

If you have been a Carolina Hurricanes fan for longer than these last two years you well understand why this might leave one feeling a bit uneasy.

Yeah mine was hinting at that and said it was very likely if I bought the STM again right now I'd be able to get tix for 2nd round. Which is fine- maybe I can find a nosebleed on stubhub for something not too outrageous for round 1

And think that, fortunately, cell phones existed but there was no internet

Oh cool, so was I.

So how did we not run into each other watching a game? I almost watched Game 7 in Sharkey's, but stayed back because I had a Finance midterm the next day (lol, yeah probably still should have gone out, bombed the hell out of it). Watched Game 6 at BDubs, I think, but hell its been so long I could have that mistaken.

Good luck.

They are very clear regarding the tickets for Round 1 that you cannot sell a single game, it must be the entire strip to keep COVID safe. How they expect to enforce that, I don't know.

I was pretty shy back then. I had a few friends from high school at VT, but not much else. I did walk around campus exclusively in my 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs Canes hat I picked up at game 2 of the Montreal series. And plenty of Canes apparel the rest of the year before that probably. I was in engineering at the time, so not sure if that affected whether our paths crossed. I was off campus in early May that year. Went to games 5 and 7 of the SCF. Also went to about 10-12 regular season games in person that year.

Good luck.

So you have to purchase all or none, eh? I guess they can enforce it because it is all electronic tickets now right?

According to the STM FAQ you can sell individual games, but have to sell all tickets in a pod to one buyer. If you have a 4 ticket pod you have to sell all 4 tickets to the same person for what ever game you choose to sell.
