With the caveat of us not seeing him as a pro when I heard them speak about him when we drafted him he sounded like almost a shoo in difference maker. NHL GMs REALLY overthought this guy.
He is the only player I see with PPG+ potential we have drafted going back to forever.
Rangers make him learn defense and he will end up being 3rd liner tweener until he goes to another team and become the next JAM

Marchessault is a weird comparison considering he was never on the Rangers roster or reserve list.
Sure... But it has to be acknowledged that he spent time in the Rangers development system.

Yes.
Freshmen have been nominated for less in the past. He won't win it unless he really goes off but he should be a finalist.
