Gabe on the board, with yes, a primary assist.

2-1 BC after 2.

Really smart play to pass it hard behind Smith to catch him streaking up the ice, hockey IQ: 1,000,000

those jerseys are amazing

This pass is utter insanity. Not sure if most will grasp how crazy this is. Wow. I love this kid.
how the f*** did this kid fall to us at 23!??!

The pass seems to be right on target with Smith. Like right through his feet. Not sure what the intention was. Mika makes a pass off the boards behind Kreider twice a week and nobody lauds his IQ for it.

That was certainly not “right on target”. It was a hard pass that was to catch him streaking.

Not sure what the Rangers set plays have anything to do with with Gabe. He is known to have insane hockey IQ, Mika doesn’t.

Kind of matches up with what has gone on at BC all year. Leonard is an absolute DOG who doesn't get enough credit for really driving the bus due to his point totals being where they are but he does so many good things that will translate seamlessly to the pros (Peep the shot volume and QUALITY volume, this isn't Cutter Gauthier just shooting everything from everywhere.) Strong in transition+off the walls = I wish we had him. I worry a little bit that he takes as much as he gives physically but he's built for it and certainly about that life.

Gabe just creates offense - The passing is obviously excellent and while he doesn't shoot much but when he does he has a pretty good chance of scoring. There probably needs to be a bit more of a balance struck there but part of it is that he's not shooting because he's too busy setting up other people to shoot from dangerous areas. Good transition and retrieval #'s and the best defensive numbers of the trio (though none of them were particularly good there.)

If theres been a passenger on that line this year, it's been Smith. When he has time and space he is very good but he's kind of really relied on the other 2 doing a ton of the heavy lifting for him at both ends of the ice. Lots of "junior" habits in his game that he hasn't ironed out and I worry a bit about the IQ too. He does some reallllly stupid stuff out there.

Based on those Perreault is by far the driver and better overall player. That has been evident by the eye test, but Perreault has higher values in nearly every category including none in the negative which Leonard and Smith have several, yet somehow it wants to tell me that Leonard has a higher score.

Exactly matches my eye test. Interesting stuff thanks.

Now I'm all for hyping our prospects and I agree something is off with Mika this season but haven't we seen enough of Mika over the years to give him some credit in that department?
