Speculation: Roster/Trade Discussion Thread: Draft and FA addition

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
I'd maybe offer a 3rd, but I don't really see him as an improvement on Laba. I'm always wary of players who see consistent production decline over multiple years.
Good buy low candidate with only a year left.Worth the risk in my opinion

Have seen Trocheck to Pens speculation out there, mose recently by Vince.

That’s interesting because they own NYR 2027 2nd. NYR get that back and their offset sheet possibilities open up above $7.2M.

Teams around the league doing us a massive favor here.

Chris… PLEASE play the kids. Sell off a few players, and just commit to the long game.

At this point I don't think he's going to have a choice.

I just hope he stays away from overpaying the secondary, tertiary (or worse: Ferraro) players on multi year deals. I'm cool with one year overpays.

Agree - primarily with moving assets for short term solutions. Brady made sense for the Panthers. He didn't for the Rangers. NYR need to focus on young players, fliers on reclamation projects that might or might not pan out (Laine), and backfilling with vets that might make sense on short(er) term deals.

I'm not sure how "in" Drury is/was for any of these players. Seemed he offered low, got beat, and doesn't care. That's fine with me.
Maybe, I’ve no inside knowledge of the situation, but any non star making it to UFA is going to be a temptation to a team with 30 mil in space

Again, I'd take a chance for a 3rd or less, but I wouldn't pay a 2nd for Zary at all. Declining production and dismal ES production (he wouldn't get PP time here, and a chunk of the little production he DOES have was on the PP in Calgary). Add the slow skating issues, and I'm just not sure I see the point in him.

It's more like - plenty of busses are your route but theyre all at capacity with higher paying customers and you cant afford it because you spent all of your money on online NHL 2026 HUT packs and game expansions that are immediately valueless and unusable after 6 months
this is quite specific

If we move Vinnie soon,he could slot right in as a 3c providing he still plays center.Unless the plan is Laba there..maybe Zary can slot in on wing or center the 4th line?Who know...I'm just throwing shit out there

i know CGY is awful but he sucks and if he is capable of turning his career around i doubt it will be here
