I tend to agree. I suppose you could marinate Rosen another year. But if the others are pushing for NHL minutes full-time, something has to give via trade, etc.
I think Rosen is the guy most likely to be ready sooner, because he plays a more well-rounded game compared to Kulich especially.

Benson shouldn't be send down. His game is so advanced going back to junior is a waste of time, he needs experience in the NHL. Give me games off like Anaheim is doing with Carlsson but let him play here, he learns to learn how to play against NHLers.

He plays a different kind of game. More cerebral without the puck. Anticipates play well.

But people have gone way too far in their appraisal of Kulich’s negatives away from the puck. They act like he’s Olofsson or an idiot. He is a pressure player who gets caught sometimes because he is pressuring the puck carrier. But guess what? You can’t have five guys doing the same damn thing on the ice. Five guys skating to where they anticipate play will go is literally the softest D imaginable. You need guys who dog puck carriers. He’s high effort. He’s engaged. He’s improved a ton on knowing how to close guys off and be on the right side of the puck. and guess what else? He’s here to score goals. This ongoing narrative is so misguided and based off of a complete misunderstanding of player, role and impact.

Kulich ”especially”?

Without someone to pressure the puck Rosen is just standing in empty space waiting for a play that doesn’t come. I’m over this bullshit. Kulich is better than this bullshit.

You picked out one situation were Rosen failed I am sure you also could have picked similar situations were Kulich failed on the D side of the puck, they are both still developing.
Your polemics and one sided presentation certainly are more leaning towards a weak argument.

I didn't read it that way. He is right that whenever Kulich is brought up, there are usually a good couple posters who say aside from scoring goals he is flat bad. I just read this as a response to those arguments. I mean in his third sentence he said that Kulich fails sometimes because he gets caught pressuring too much. Don't get this criticism.

I am going to subscribe to the Marty school of logic. Bring em both up and park on together on the 3rd line. Why not? Can't be any worse than what we have been doing.

Im ecstatic. But should i be worried that he worked too hard to come back early from an injury caused from working out too hard??
Achilles injuries scare the hell out of me ... but he's just a kid...hopefully he will be alright

I feel like he is coming back sooner than expected.

It's interesting to me that they brought him to Washington.... Shouldn't he have stayed in Buffalo to rehab?

Man a few months ago I pictured Quinn coming back as icing on the cake. Didn't entertain that we would desperately need him back and he probably still won't solve the bundle of issues this team is facing. Frustrating for sure.

Last year's team was a highlight reel of goals and although they've solved some defensive issues, it seems at the expense of offense. They don't look particularly good at either end of the ice and I don't want to be a chicken little but this is not working. Maybe the players haven't quite gotten the system down or maybe they have and the system just doesn't bring out the best team game.

It's super great that they're willingly handicapping themselves with this 11/7 BS because they're too stubborn to bench EJ even though he stinks and Ryan Johnson has done the best job out of any of their young guys in terms of coming up and making an immediate impact.

They went from whatever do as you please on the ice to trying to plas a system, did people really expect it to work right away,? This whole season will be trying to adjust to playing whatever system Granato wants them to play. Playoffs are once again optional.
