Quinn and Tuch are also injury prone. There's 2/3 of their top scoring line + one of their most promising offensive players.The volatile nature of goaltending alone could bite them, let alone Skinner being way into the aging curve and any other injuries that might come along. It's not like Thompson hasn't had a bunch so even just banking on him to be peak is folly.
This also ignores the fact that the team played like a bunch of pansies for a majority of the year. They need to get players here that can set a tone. I dont mean cracking jaws, though that would be nice, but rather players who use their body to win puck battles, players who fight for position in the dirty areas, players who battle like the opposing player slapped their moma, etc...
I'll be so frustrated if they go in with largely the same players upfront. At least Adams made some additions to the d core. It's going to be so difficult getting psyched for the season if minimal moves are made.
