How does logic tell anyone that Kopitar is worth $72M+ over 8 seasons, starting next year at age 29?
That is called blind faith. Kopitar's game is in decline. Most people here see it, some are not willing to acknowledge it.
Blind Faith? So trading a soon to be UFA Kopitar and hoping for a huge return and retooling on the fly isn't blind faith?
He's not worth 9 or 10 million but he will get it somewhere unfortunately
Kopitar, Kings remain far from contract...talks have quieted down.

It will be nice to get Dwight King back in the lineup. Probably take him about 5-7 games to get back up to game speed. After that though, King should be good.
Who is coming out of the lineup iyo to fit king back in? What your lineup looking like?
King is so bleh. Another big guy who doesn't take full advantage of his size. Yeah, sure, he's ideal for Sutter's system, but King needs to play with little more fire. He'd be much tougher to play against, if he was a bit more like his older bro.
His older brother was a plug, that is not even playing Hockey anymore. D.J. King, was a terrible hockey player.
I'd rather someone come in and be productive on the bottom six, rather than bring more physicality.
The Kings bottom six has plenty of Grit, it lacks production mightily right now.
And I'm saying I want both production and physicality. Anything wrong with that?

No, but it's not going to come from Dwight King, he has never been an overly physical player, nor is he ever going to be.
The more important question is who gets sent down or who hits waivers to open a spot for him?
If a roster spot needs to be made available, it's probably Jordan Weal waived, sadly.

No way is Weal waived. He'd get traded, before he gets waived.

I wish you luck with your thinking King will bring production to the bottom 6 I however think he ll be lucky to score 7 goals the rest of the season The production your looking for will come from Mersch imo who hopefully will be up with the club by jan 15th ish
I would rather see Shore sent down in all honesty. Shore could use a confidence booster right now, and I believe Shore is still not eligible for waivers.
I don't care who it is, the bottom six needs some help, if it's Mersch that's fine.
