He's having an off year like the rest of the team, but his goal totals from the three previous years are 34, 36, and 37, averaging 70 points per 82 over that span. He plays center but can shift to left wing if need be, and has both PP and PK experience (we weren't always the worst in the league). Plays big in the playoffs, and is the team's current iron man - he's missed something like 15 total games since his rookie season.
Anything less than a first + would mean that every GM is weighing his last 35 games on a terrible team more than his last 250. Even with the slow start to the year it's possible he's the consensus top forward add at the deadline depending on who is available.
As much as it would pain me to see him on the Devils, putting him on a line with Hughes and Bratt would be lethal and it feels like a team he wouldn't have on his list. Brock is 54% from the dot this season and generally is best when someone else is transporting the puck as he's not the most dynamic guy in the world. What he will do is find the soft spaces and snipe the puck and clean up the garbage. Probably a perfect fit tbh
