I think Palms could get us a late first.
It’s possible. I think 5-6 first rounders were traded last deadline, so the question is if he’s among the 5-6 best players available. Hard to say without knowing exactly who will be sellers and who they’ll be selling. Easier to say Brock will get a first because he plays a premium position and it doesn’t look like there will be a lot of decent options there. I’ll take a first for Palmieri but if he gets a second plus I won’t be surprised.

I'd take a chance on Alexander Holtz if Vegas shopped him for playoff depth . Retain a bit on Palmieri who would likely accept the trade for a chance to cup . It would give Vegas good insurance on injury prone Olofsson too.

Sorta fine with it but he’s on his second team and still not producing, quickly approaching the Wahlstrom zone.

Roy commenting that he wishes they spent more time of special teams in off season. Ya f***ing think dude??? We were the worst PK in the league last year! That’s kinda important to fix. I can’t believe I was excited about this guy coming to the island

And yes Patrick we were so unlucky to lose that game 7-1 last night. Played soooo much better than that score line. C ya
How can you improve a league worst PK in practice when the worst PP is at the same practice? Just doesn’t work. Only way to improve both sides is the injection of speed that can get to lose pucks before the other team gets it. So many times this year and in the past is the Isles player is a half second late getting to lose pucks resulting in loss of possession for both PP or PK units

This. It’s the blind leading the blind.

As for loose pucks, isles always back off the 50/50 pucks and defend instead of going for it. It’s a joke.

And PS- Roy sucks. Not NHL HC material.

Is the consensus that he'll get a 1st rounder back?
There is consensus among people who are guessing. It's possible, maybe even probable, but he has an M-NTC and so it depends to some degree on who is on that list or if Brock is willing to waive. Presumably he would waive to go to a Cup contender but the joke around here is that the boys are all pretty attached to their "country club", that is, they are all very comfortable here.

He's having an off year like the rest of the team, but his goal totals from the three previous years are 34, 36, and 37, averaging 70 points per 82 over that span. He plays center but can shift to left wing if need be, and has both PP and PK experience (we weren't always the worst in the league). Plays big in the playoffs, and is the team's current iron man - he's missed something like 15 total games since his rookie season.

Anything less than a first + would mean that every GM is weighing his last 35 games on a terrible team more than his last 250. Even with the slow start to the year it's possible he's the consensus top forward add at the deadline depending on who is available.

As much as it would pain me to see him on the Devils, putting him on a line with Hughes and Bratt would be lethal and it feels like a team he wouldn't have on his list. Brock is 54% from the dot this season and generally is best when someone else is transporting the puck as he's not the most dynamic guy in the world. What he will do is find the soft spaces and snipe the puck and clean up the garbage. Probably a perfect fit tbh

Yeah the reason I dropped in to ask. We have 3- 2nds this yr but no 1sts. Most in our camp think a Nelson/Palms up top and another 4th liner. We look pretty good right now, so our GM will part with picks. Not sure of the prospects you'd have in mind. I'm hoping he doesn't move one of the defenders for a rental. Love Lou Lams but it's time, actually it was time while he was still in Jersey. Thx for the info, good luck on turning it around

Didn't realize that. Some of these guys gotta be hungry to make a nice run at so e point you'd think. Thx

Yeah I mean my guess would be that Silayev, Casey, and Gritsyuk are all off limits. Maybe Hameenaho and a second for Brock? Palmieri feels like two seconds and we can throw you Zeeker for a bag of pucks too
