Golden Knights as well. They have done some questionable things with the cap but they are always gunning for it. I say put Cizikas on that list too and see who bites. The Leafs as well.
Shit I forgot Cizikas too. I want a flown blown cut from these guys. And I don't hate them. But we need a change.

That's not in my top 10, he sucks and I wouldn't waste ink on him. And every team has draft busts, it only really hurts when it's a top 5 pick.

The dreaded #5 for the Isles.

Misfires on #5 overall picks
Getting teased by 5th round picks who never seem to pan out.
If Lou fires Coach Roy then you guessed it, the next coach will be his 5th as Isles GM.

When you're mediocre, you really blame the coach over the players?

If they end up firing Roy (which I can see), will this team really do much better with another deck shuffle? Islanders are somehow slammed up against the cap and refuse to bring in anyone else at this point, but we gotta blame the goalie still? This team just lost to the Blackhawks (technically should've lost to them twice), and yet they didnt even score a single PPG against them either? The Islanders should've blown it up after 2023. They gambled on 2024 and didnt do much. Now you have an even bigger predicament where your a very top heavy team thats great 5v5, but sucks on special teams and can't hold onto a lead. They're getting slower and worse mentally. At what point does your general manager do a thing? At what point do we blame Lamoriello for the poor special teams coaching hires? At what point does it become indictive that his 2021 and 2023 offseasons were objectively terrible?

Shit I forgot Cizikas too. I want a flown blown cut from these guys. And I don't hate them. But we need a change.
Cizikas looks expired, and it sucks since he was a pure heart and soul player for the team. Dude just flat out can't hang with these cats anymore.

This is unrelated to trades but

Can anyone remember the last physical scrum the team was in on? Just trying to gauge the emotion of the team.

In terms of fights this year there was Zucker-Whally, Martin-Desharnis and Mayfield and Macdermid right?

According to HockeyFights.com, there's only been 111 fights in the league so far, so the league average is less than 4. Nothing to make hay about.

Haymaker: name is derived from the motion, which mimics the action of manually cutting hay by swinging a scythe. The haymaker is considered an imperfect/impure punch, as the angle of approach is unsupported by the remainder of the forearm.

Donnybrook: Etymology. Named from Donnybrook Fair, a notoriously disorderly event, held annually from 1204 until the middle of the 19th century. The town of Donnybrook comes from the Irish Domhnach Broc (“The Church of Saint Broc”).
