I wish they’d give a younger player a shot. Fasching is not gonna make a difference either way in this situation.
My read on the Gauthier waivers situation is actually that they don’t want either of them playing on the top line. I think they slot Wahlstrom back in on the fourth and possibly call up one of Maggio/Foudy/Jeffries to play on the top line… although it is worth mentioning that Roy did play Fasching with them a bit last season.Fasching was terrible in his 4 games with Bridgeport and doesn't deserve to be called up!! Foudy would be a better option if the Islanders don't want to recall Jeffries or Maggio because they want them to continue to play big minutes in the AHL.
They don't have enough cap space to call up Engvall. It's going to be one of Dufour, Fasching, Foudy, Jefferies, or Maggio.I’d move up Sipper to line 1, Pierre with Brock and Palms.
And suffer
Shouldn’t LTIR fix that though? They don't have enough cap space to call up Engvall. It's going to be one of Dufour, Fasching, Foudy, Jefferies, or Maggio.
He's not going on LTIR as far as we've heard.Shouldn’t LTIR fix that though?
Maybe you'll get your wish and they'll waive Barzal Dobson and Sorokin nextDidn’t take long for Gauthier to be deemed irrelevant again.
what time are they signing martin at
Shocker (not).
Maybe not, never suggested that.Maybe you'll get your wish and they'll waive Barzal Dobson and Sorokin next
What’s the difference? Even with the additions this team has played the exact same way as the last two seasonsSo we get to watch last years' Isles all over again? Nice.
Long term but not season ending. Still sounds pretty bad. Like, half a season.Good and bad.
40 minutes from now...WE HAVE SIGNED CAL CLUTTERBUCK TO A ONE YEAR DEAL

Was being a bit sarcastic. I think team will be fine, and am happy with the additions.5 games in and you're ready to throw in the towel? Geezus.
If you can't see the difference, I don't know what to say. The pace of play is up, we are more aggressive on the PK and the style is more fun to watch. We need a new approach on the PP. Duclair's injury hurts, but maybe we see a few new opportunities, such as Holmstrom getting an extended look on the top line, and either Foudy or a Jeffries getting a look.
Wally also gets a reprieve, and if you actually listen to Roy, he's been saying good things about him.
If you honestly think you are watching Lambert's team a year later, it isn't the same style of play.

You have to admit even with the new guys, the results the last five games have been straight out of the 23/34 season.
