Have been on a work trip to Iowa today and catching up on all the news from today…seems like it’s now Dallas or bust.

I wouldn't be shocked if Ryan Suter is a Cane by tomorrow afternoon. We REALLY missed Orlov tonight, looking at our analytical data for tonight's game. I know the old man jokes are going to be all over Hockey X and Reddit, but as a 7D, you can't get much better out of the available options. He's actually played decently well in St. Louis as a #6 and he has a league-minimum cap hit. It's a no-brainer to me.

Reading it's stankhoven and borque?. Guess we wernt middle enough at center. At least stank has potential.
Buy yeah. We still have no top six. Another stat forward goes away, we get clowned again by agents and players and nachos is tearing it up in Colorado. And rantanen probably signs for 8 in Dallas.

Brock just got a top prospect and a first and he’s a far worse rental than rants… if someone told me at the beginning of the year we could get stankoven for necas I wouldn’t hate it… cautiously optimistic this works out fine for us

The more I think on this the more I feel like rantanen might have been riding on mackinnon. His play tonight was absolute shit. He looked lost and his passes were awful..
He also seems like an emo mopey headcase. He didn't do shit with Barkov in the 4n either.
Let Dalllas deal with him and his bullshit (Dallas is my favorite wc team) and get stank and borque if you can. Stank can legit be a 2c and borque has excellent hockey iq. With the likes of jarvis Blake borque and stank you have some really great young cost controlled rfas, and frankly I'd rathe have stank and borque than nachos pain in the ass and rantanen's crybaby bullshit. Hell in a year or two stank and borque could be 66% Of your second line.

People severely underestimate the value of an extended Rantanen. I guess we’ll find out soon enough but if rumors are true that he’ll extend with Dallas/Florida I would not be surprised to see the return from Dallas include Robertson or Johnston. And I’d be thrilled with either of those 2, especially Johnston although that seems less likely.
How about how the coach treated him practically the whole damn time? Maybe the Canes need to buy some mirrors. Tripp said Necas was the consummate pro through all of it.
