TDA doesnt want to be a 7th. He wants to play and frankly he is plenty good enough to play D on any team in the league, espcially as a sheltered PPQB specialist..

I think we need to revisit Slavin-TDA, Or Keep Skjei TDA togetehr
Or just let him go so he can find a new home. If we're gonna have Morrow in that 7D slot, I don't really see there being a place for TDA.

He’s a 6th/7th d-man powerplay specialist so if he’s playing with either of those two long term in our top 4 we’re going to have a bad time

Canes burned a year of Morrow's ELC to get him signed. They are going to give him every opportunity to make the big club. He will still have to earn it and likely sees at least some time in the A. Still, my guess is that if he shows well in camp, then he's our 3rd pairing RHD....and likely the PP2 QB.

He may be targeted for the big club next year but I bet they put him in Chicago for at least a month or so. Both Pesce and Slavin noted how valuable their brief time in the AHL was before a quick ascension to the Canes.

Especially now that we’re back to having an AHL team with full control of hockey ops. Learn our insane system that even seasoned NHL dmen have trouble with in Chicago, not up here in the big leagues. One difficulty adjustment at a time.

Yeah. Personally I'd rather some other team sign him to some ridiculous contract so whoever else can step in. I can appreciate TDA in his first year here but he didn't seem happy in his role the second time around. Let him walk, and find someone new.

Honest question, is there another team that would give him a chance after the things went with every other team hes been on the last 5 or so years?

there's always going to be someone desperate and willing to write off what happened with the Flyers as more a product of coaching than the player himself.

If I had to guess, DeAngelo will get 1 year $1.2M. He will get a deal from somebody but his stock has fallen considerably after his year with the Flyers and playing sporadically with us.

Possibly, I'm just hoping someone gives him stupid money so we can part ways and won't be tempted to give him a "pity" contract.

I hope the Canes can work some deal to get Nils Hoglander.

His name is just freaking awesome.
