Hunt on the 3rd line ever and Goats in the NHL at all, puts the def in the B for "blows" for sure.

RW issues are reality. Never entered my mind in training camp.

This is based on logic not any insider info- but if NYR were really going to go through the trouble to bring Kravtsov back to end the season, it would almost certainly be in a more significant role than last season.

You aren't helping this team, Kravtsov's trade value, or our assessment of him by playing him for 9 minutes on the 4th line again.

People make it seem like it's all Kravtsov's fault and there's no room for redemption.

Yeah, maybe there's some nuance there and perhaps that's worth exploring. Maybe we don't need such strict adherence to outdated concepts like "this lesser talented player earned it," and "making exceptions kills the locker room." Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

Im only worried about the players on the team. Until Kravtsov puts on a Ranger jersey again, he's nothing more than a trade chip, weve heard nothing from anyone around the team that would indicate otherwise

It's really crazy that it has come to this. Even without Buch, the RW situation was supposed to resolve itself internally. Kakko was taking on a bigger role, Kravtsov was going to get himself into the top 9. Goodrow was supposed to be a swiss-army knife and could fill in multiple roles. Talking about Laf or Kreider moving to RW to help out there. Blais was going to fill in a role on one of the wings and Gauthier was going to be someone that would need to show in preseason he belongs. Blais was supposed to be on the 4th line with Rooney and Reaves!

It's amazing that from when camp opened until now these are the changes on the RW depth:

The amount of posts thrusting Kravtsov into a top six role immediately are truly mystifying. The guy has talent but he hasn’t shown jack shit so far on North American ice. And we’re replacing one of Kreider Panarin Kakko or Lafreniere with him? I don’t get it. This fan base always puts unreal pressure and unrealistic expectations of its youngest players.

Honestly a lot of this is bad luck. Kakko first suffered this injury in like the 4th Game of the season and hasnt recovered, Blais looked good until Slewban came for him. No need to rehash Kravtsov.

They can make the playoffs easily with the team they have now, but they are losing in round 1 if they dont add at least 2 more forwards.

I won’t renew. The coverage is haphazard and sporadic. Staple is decent but the coverage is lacking.

He's riding the reputation of scoring more of his team's % of points than Kuznetsov, Tarasenko, Panarin etc. at the same age of like 18-19 years old. It was the most cherry picked stat in the history of stats and our fan base ate it up.

Since we seem dead set on moving Nils, what about reaching out to Toronto to see if they'd make a deal around Nils for Nick Robertson? It helps TOR add more to their defensive pipeline, and Nils and Sandin could be a really good 2nd pairing of the future for them. Robertson is an incredible skater who's scored at every level he's played and would perfectly throughout our entire lineup.

nils is the exact opposite d man from what the leafs need. they need more muzzin type grit and defensive d men, not more of the sandin and liligren types.

Staple sucks because his heart isn't in it for the Rangers. He's been basically the only Islanders reporter for the last decade so he was like ingrained with their fanbase.

He literally can't go a single article without making an Islanders reference. Keeps referring to them as like a model of what the Rangers want to be and stuff like that. The franchise that went 23 years without winning a playoff series from 1993-2016 is the franchise the Rangers want to be. They have two good playoff runs in the fakest seasons we've seen in our lifetimes and we're supposed to wish the Rangers were the Islanders? Average age of 47 and capped out Islanders? Trotz doesn't even have a neck.

The romanticizing of the Islanders is very funny to me. They had a 1.5 year window where they absolutely needed to win, got help from Covid shortening 2 seasons where they were running out of gas, and still couldnt get it done. It was a great run, dont get me wrong, but Barzal is probably already thinking about taking his talents elsewhere like Tavares.

I miss Carp. I loved his game recaps. He had a sense of humor that I loved.

Everything else was garbage because he was no insider and no fan.

Chandler Stephenson really intrigues me. Imagine the third line with him and Goodrow headlining it? Owed $2.75M for two more years, following this year. 27 years old, too. Eichel and Karlsson are locked up as the top-6 centers. Only issue is Stephenson is on an absolute steal of a deal, and Vegas may prefer to keep him as a high-end 3C.

The thing that truly confuses me is why isn't the front office at least ringing Kravtsov to show they care? Staple reporting no dialogue doesn't help them in negotiations with other teams. They are going to continue to get lowballed when other teams see the writing on the wall. At least if you talk to him and remain in dialogue, you give off the impression that he could come back and that other teams need to pay up if they want him. But, then again, Kravtsov's rights are kept until he's 27, so, yea, I guess I answered my own question.
