I dont see Hajek being moved unless its a great deal for the Rangers. We are weak on the left side. Might be looking to move Skjei. Staal and Smith gone for sure after next season. And then theres the optics of moving the main piece that came back for McDonagh

Think about the Bruins team where GMJG was one of the major architects. Not that that isn't the Bruins dna, but he helped re-establish the philosophy.

If the Rangers can get a first for Strome, my God, get it now. But I dont think anyone would be that desperate for him. Also feel like Toffoli is more sexy name around the league given he has been dangled out there for several weeks. However, if you can get a second and a Madden level type forward prospect you make that deal.

As good as Strome has been with Panarin I don't see him long term with this team. Sell high on this guy, grab a good prospect and another pick you can package together with other assets and either move up in the draft or trade for a top young guy.

I'm at the point where I'd like to stockpile assets and overpay for a high-end forward prospect who's got really good potential.

Strome's long term role on this team is the same as Kreider's: Not on the top lines.

There's almost certainly no place for him there eventually. If he'll accept third liner pay, he can be a future 3rd liner for us, and a quality one at that, but I suspect he wants more money and term than that.

He's on my trade list too... just not as urgently as Kreider. I don't want to give Strome a 5 year deal though. Can I get him for 3?

Those two are only going to get stronger. They will physically get bigger and they will learn how to utilize it on the ice better

I see this as a win for both sides. Gauthier is a 22 year old former 1st rounder who plays a power game on the wing. 26 goals in 44 games in the AHL this season.

Seems like we got the lesser prospect, though, if it's not tied.

I think people are looking at the points Keane put up down in the AHL only. Defensively he has been a bit of a work in progress and many of his points have come by the way of the PP moving the puck to a guy like Lettieri. Not a bad prospect, just not a slam dunk
