Probably. Nobody is giving up a top prospect for a rental. Jersey at least did well with Hall. They got a top 12 pick for him currently

I wonder if Joe Sakic has already called Jeff Gorton with an offer for Kreider? And maybe Gorton is holding out for a better offer from the Avs or other teams. Tough call because if you cave now you might be losing out on a potential increase in the offer. Or the flip side is that you wait too long and the other team targets another player at a lower price. I’d want to package Kreider and do this:

Kreider, Georgiev, and Lias Andersson

Bowen Byram
Tyson Jost
Conditional Pick based on playoff performance

That's not really that doubtful. I'd say more likely he sits tomorrow than plays. Especially if there really is a huge amount of interest.

Maybe, maybe not. When you sit a player, you’re waiving the white flag on some of your leverage. By having Kreider continue to play and leak that we are currently trying to sign him, you maintain some leverage.
