Seriously though? Kreider won't be cheap. Your late 1st, an NHL player, and probably a B prospect. Add a 2nd for Fast.

People like this just make educated guesses, like any of us on here who are super fans and pay attention could do, and then try and keep it vague so they can claim they called it. It's pretty pathetic.

Saying "Fast could be traded soon" when he's a pending UFA on a rebuilding team a week before the deadline doesn't make you an insider. Some people are so pathetic.

in all seriousness I have zero concerns about the expansion draft right now especially expecting a number of forwards to be sent out...lets see post deadline what forwards come back.

I get that ‘why worry’ attitude. But some people read ahead.

I think the Gauthier deal could mean something is reasonably close on Fast. Mentioned it in that trade thread, but I think Gauthier could be a guy who is a short-term fill-in for Fast on that Strome/Panarin line. Rangers get it done now in case Fast gets moved before the next game and they have to replace him without shuffling the lineup around too much. Keep in mind they're going on the road and only have 12 bodies up front with Smith filling in on D while Tony is out.

I'd love to see an audition and all, but I don't see this as very likely with Quinn. I would expect under 10 minutes on the 4th for a few games unless he just comes in and proves to be very responsible. I think there is a better chance of Howden slotting up in Fast's spot than Gauthier for a bit. But probably Kakko.

I and some here want Studnicka or Beecher and a 1st for Kreider.

Bjork, conditional 1st, and JFK for Kreider is more realistic.

Normally I'd agree, but Quinn seems to have some line combinations he likes at the moment. Kakko and Chytil are playing well together. Buch and Zib are playing well together. The 4th line is doing pretty well. I think there's a chance Gauthier could start in that spot if Fast is moved just to keep things consistent. Of course all bets are off after the first couple shifts.

Would the Rangers be interested in Conor Timmins? The Rangers moved a RHD in Keane. The Rangers acquire a RHD in Timmins in the Kreider deal. He is better prospect than Kaut.

Don't think he'd be on the table for Colorado. Could be wrong.

Seriously though, if we have a 4th of Lemieux-Howden-Fast I think we will look like a much improved team.

Gauthier should play with Panarin. He is more of a Rich Nash type of player in a way, definitely not Pat Maaroon II or much of a checker.
