If there's a chance that Florida makes a push for Kreider, I would want trade with them. Their top forward prospects -- Denisenko, Noel, Tippett are players I might prefer over Kaut or Beecher.

I think Florida would be more interested in Skjei.

I would think Kreider would have to be involved if Newhook were on the table. If its Buch then its probably Kaut and a pick

Buch has more value IMO. His production isn't far behind Kreider's, though Kreider is more of a goal scorer. He's younger and cost controlled, with another year on his current deal before he becomes an RFA.

It's doubtful that Colorado would give up Newhook for Buch, but that's the kind of deal I feel would be required to move him. He isn't a pending UFA where it's trade him, sign him or let him walk. We have no incentive to trade him unless we are getting a player in return who can potentially be better at some point in the future.

On defense things get interesting and further show that some changes are on the way.

Why does everyone wanna get rid of Fast? It's not his fault our rw depth isnt up to par. He is fine as a 3rd/4th liner, and he would max out as a 3rd round pick as a return.

I think every penny counts ... gonna suck to see him go but they can run Kakko , Buch, Gauthier , Howden on RW

Until there's a signed contract, I think it's premature to say ADA is "set in stone".

It doesn't have to be Newhook, though I am trying to speak that into existence, but if the return is Jost for Kreider, with some of these other returns, yeah I'd be pissed.

Their first is tricky. Hopefully if we get their first Tampa wins division and Bruins don't get to conference finals. Still that first won't be very high

That isn't a fair comparison, McD had 1 year left on his deal. CK is a pure rental.
