Sounds like hot air, but if it's really anything, has to be about Eichel. That's the only thing I can think of that would elicit such a visceral reaction.
I thought all the podcast guys wanted Eichel though. Someone needs to make a spreadsheet tracking the extended Rangers posting universe and their beefs, confusing offseason master plans, favorite/least favorite players etc

They both really want Eichel. Kaplan has been wanting to trade better players for Klefbom for the longest time. He's terrible with trades.

The only thing I didn’t like about today was our failure to take advantage of the 3rd D slot.

did the Isles f*** up their list D requirement? What’s the penalty?

No one from there has proven to have any credibility.

A podcast that has been desperately trying to build a following for years now saying something boisterous while also giving as little information as possible should only draw conclusions that they still have absolutely nothing to work with, rather than actually giving it any credence. Nothing adds up there.

But Messier supports them. :thumbu:

  • Get Goodrow locked up.
  • Aquire Larkin for Lundkvist, Jones and 2022 #1 (Jones added to offset not including the #15 pick this year)
  • Buch for Kupari and pick #49
  • Sign Suter 3 years $3MM AAV
  • Sign Nosek 2 years $1.5MM AAV
  • Resign Smith 2 years $1MM AAV
  • Resign Chytil 3 years 2.75MM AAV
  • Either Gauthier or Blackwell picked by Seattle
  • Shesh resigned 5 years $5MM AAV
  • Strome dealt for picks/prospects
Laff - Zib - Kakko
Panarin - Larkin - Kravstov
Kreider - Chytil - Goodrow
Nosek - Rooney - Barron
Gauthier or Blackwell

Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Trouba
Suter - Smith or another UFA Signing

I was just doing wordplay. I don’t really have a strong opinion on cap specifics. I’m not privy to what the front office knows. But I would agree in principle that the both six should be generally lower cost players.
The reason you trade buch, is even though he's a top 6 player, we have younger and likely better wingers who should be in the top 6. He has value since he's still an RFA, and he is a point per game player who does well defensively.
Get value for him rather than letting him walk for nothing.

Love where you’re going but Strome gets flipped for a LD like Soucy cause we ain’t gonna get Suter. I’d tweak the a Larkin deal a bit as well

If you trade for Kupari why wouldn't he be on the 4th line? Otherwise not bad scenarios

I'd absolutely 100% rather include the '21 first than the '22. Also i'd rather go long term on chytil, and don't see a good reason to go get kupari if you're getting larkin and extending chytil. You have 4 center spots, if you go mika, larkin, chytil, tbd, you dont use kupari.

If you acquire Buch, you go with a bigger swing prospect. I'd go for someone like holloway or a '22 first.

As much as Suter would be a perfect fit for us, I have a feeling both him and parise end up in LI.

Yah, Messier has also used any media outlet possible any time there is an inkling of availability in the Rangers front office or coaching staff and he hasn't even solicited a legitimate interview out of it lol

Messier was a great player, but what he says or wants carries about as much weight as Incarcerated Bob tweets
