I got to hold the Stanley Cup with Shatty today

I have a few things I can share:
-I think Gauthier and Howden were 1a and 1b to get traded
-We need to stay far, far away from Eichel
-Vegas is high on Peyton Krebs, don't expect to move Strome or Zbad there unless the return revolves around Glass EDIT-this was typed up before I knew Glass was traded...the point of this bullet was don't expect making a deal for Krebs
-Mika has a wedding in August, may get off to a slow start again
-Strome has been taking his career more seriously since joining the Rangers
-The culture of the team is soft and lazy, Gallant should be able to help with that
-Our next captain also happens to be fat and lazy
-While I think Kakko will be fine, gun to my head we would have been better off not winning the lotto and landing Zegras
-Don't be surprised if Kreider gets time at RW, especially if Buch gets dealt
-Morgan Barron is living and training with Kreider. Also as big and strong as Kreider. Could be a difference maker as soon as next year
-Bitetto is a great team guy and is setting up a team trip for bonding

It seems the latest fad among GM's is to sign known quantities to long contracts at low aav. Maybe players and GM's both want security and predictability over the flat cap period.

Nah, actually not. They just can’t protect everyone and have to expose Mayfield basically. So they lose Mayfield, maybe Lou is fine with that? If he is, why get someone else to expose and risk losing a forward he likes more.

I think Seattle is going to take ADA. Worst case scenario if he f***s around they just send him home and he never gets another NHL contract and best case scenario he's figured out how to not be an asshole all the time and performs as he always has. he's the best talent NYR is going to expose for the expansion draft and if I'm the expansion draft GM, I take the player with the most talent.
Anyway you look at it ADA is better than either Gauthier, Rooney, or Blackwell

Literally zero risk potentially high reward move for Seattle.
