Can't get over how dumb Arizona would be to trade a 23 year old stud defensemen. So insanely hard to come by. They could build around this guy.
They are horrible, and will be horrible for years to come. He won't be resigning with them when they start to get their first prospects in. So might as well trade him too for some futures.

Why does it seem like this coach is more interested in playing grinders loyal to him (Hunt, McKegg, etc.) than playing and developing highly skilled young players like Kakko, Laf, Kravtsov? He even isn't interested in playing good young players like Barron. Did we pick the right coach for this team or is this guy is being selfish ant trying to win the Cup ASAP before his coaching career is over?

If he is doing this to win a Cup I am onboard.

He's not just a 23 year old stud defensemen. He's also cost controlled at under $4.6mm for this season AND 3 more years! Arizona not going to compete those 3 years so it's a waste. They can collect more value

Nemeth would be included or at the very least dealt in the offseason. Difference between his cap hit and Chychrun is $2.1MM.

Yotes are probably asking for Schneider in addition to Kravstov and a #1. Rangers best offer will probably be something like Kravstov, one of Jones, Lundkvist or Robertson and a #1.

I dont see the Yotes retaining at all.

Will be awesome consolidating all our assets on defense and then having nothing at center. Winning strategy there.

Because those kids will develop better playing 12-15 minutes on a winning team than playing 18 minutes on a team near .500

You gotta wonder about Kaapo... apparently he dressed and took part in warm ups but sat out with "upper body," he may have actually been scratched and traded at that point. Guess we'll find out soon

That actually happens quite frequently. Players with nagging injuries take the pregame skate to determine if they can go or not.
