Lundkvist + 2023 3rd for Hagel
2022 5th for Carpenter
2022 1st + Barron + Nemeth for Lindholm (might need to give more here, one of the 2022 2nds or a prospect like Korczak who has been a riser)

Re-sign Lindholm; Lindgren possibly/likely gets moved in offseason/at draft and Robertson or Jones plays 3LD next year
Blais also back next year to fill one of the bottom 6 winger roles
Hagel at a great cap hit for 2 more years after this for what he brings
Let’s say those scenarios happen. Trading Nemeth and Lindgren frees up 5.5 million in cap space and Robertson takes over as the bottom pairing d-man but he’s still going to take up some salary so that 5.5 freed up will be like 4.5-4.7. Lindholm made 5.2 million a year on his current deal, he’s probably worth 7 on the open market. How are you fitting him in and addressing the second line center issue next season?

If these are the prices 10000 percent agree. Vatrano was a great pick up. Drury needs to continue to be patient. Obviously most teams are asking for the moon
Yeah hang back. See what shakes out.

This seem to be the case every spring. Are we sure these guys just aren’t visiting certain restaurants at a predetermined schedule?
Im telling you, LA is showcasing Kupari/Vliardi to us... Look at their game history and usage, plus they have a complete logjam at C and that's where our depth issue is. If I were a betting man, I'd say we'd flip a combo of Kravtsov/Lundkvist/Jones/etc for one of their young Centers not named Byfield. I would love to pry Turcotte from them too.

Hasn't played w/ Kings until 3/13

Their Center depth is the following...

Kopitar, Danault, Lizotte, Byfield, Kupari, Vilardi, Turcotte (Kempe has even played C). Something has to give.

I like the idea of bringing in Radulov. Don’t care that his numbers are down on a team that prioritizes defense under Bowness and isn’t run and gun. Give him Panarin and let’s see what happens. How much could dallas want back? Grab another dirt cheap rental to smooth over a hole.

Turcotte hasn't done anything since his draft year. LA took him too high. Villardi is worse. Kupari is in the same boat. Those guys can play center. The Rangers should not go crazy here.

What about JAD,, I haven’t seen anything of him in the ahl but 37pts in 39 games seems like he’s progressing well. Also he prob would cost as much as those turcotte or V

Rangers have the cap space. Dallas currently has $50k in deadline cap space. Dallas might be looking to make a similar deal as Florida but where they are essentially paying the Rangers to give them cap room to make an addition to their roster. $6.3MM freed up.

Rangers don't have to play him. Radulov and a 2nd for Hajek. Hajek's full cap hit can be sent down to the AHL.

With the Rangers having so much cap space, this is a type of deal they should be looking at in addition to trades for roster upgrades.

Heck you could trade that 2nd in the deal for Giordano and still would basically have net neutral assets less the likely midrange prospect that would need to move in addition to the 2nd for Gio.

So many of you want to see a trade just for the sake of making a trade.

What In the hell is seriously wrong with y’all? Go watch the Kardashian’s if you need some shallow, pointless entertainment.

Half of you donkeys are desperate to see big moves that we ultimately can’t even realistically afford. Kane? Hertl(thank god that’s done). Scheiffele? JTM? Giroux?

I’m convinced the people hoping for these big moves are too young to remember all the shortsighted and straight up f***ing stupid moves we “forced” to try and push us over the edge when we weren’t ready.

Groundhog Day. Straight up Groundhog Day. Watching the same morons hope we replicate the same moronic moves we made in the past and hoping for different results. Because we have Igor f***ing shesterkin in net…….

A big part of me seriously hate’s most of you. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
You didn't want to pay Hertl $8M plus over 8 years? What's wrong with you? Thank goodness that nonsense is over. Do you think the Rangers can get Hertl? Have you morons seen the Rangers cap situation? How the f*** are the Rangers paying Hertl when they have nearly $50M invested in their 6 highest paid players? Maybe they can get Kreider to waive? Why would he waive his NMC? Maybe they can get Trouba to waive? Not happening. Maybe they can dump Chytil and Nemeth for nothing to free up $4.8M in space. The Rangers don't re-sign Strome and they get rid of Georgiev. That doesn't add up to $8M for Hertl and you need to fill those roster spots. Strome and Georgiev don't have contracts for next season.

Creative accounting is not enough. Take out Hertl and replace him with another big name. The same issues exist.

The Rangers have Igor Shesterkin in net. The Rangers win every goalie matchup in the playoffs. Are they playing one on one? Igor hasn't played a single second of playoff hockey and he is supposedly carrying the Rangers to the Stanley Cup this season. The Rangers won every goaltending matchup when Lundqvist was there. It didn't mean much.

This is the real talk that some around here just want to ignore. Kreider and Trouba are having career years as Rangers are finally tasting success again. They aren't going anywhere.

Local media (behind paywall) in Sweden places Gustav Rydahl in Rangers next season.

Center but plays wing historically and in the national team. Big powerforward with lots of grit.
Not the quickest skater but is fantastic at protecting the puck and winning puckbattles along the boards.

The list of players that warrant a first in a deal is slim based off who we assume is available

I’d offer our first only in trades for the following players (I’ll add a + if they include more then just a first imo):

Chychrun +
Larkin +
Scheifele +
Kane + assuming they retain
Lekhonen
Gourde
Lehkonen.....no

Would you waive your clause? You live here. You own property here. You signed a contract to be here. Excuse me but we want you waive your clause so we can trade you to Arizona because we need space for the next big name on our list. Trouba just spent $6.7M on a condo in Tribeca. Is that guy waiving his clause? In July 2024, the NMC drops to a 15 team no trade list and it is a 12 team no trade list in the last season of the contract. His salaries drop to $6M annually. The Rangers can trade him at that point. Kreider submits a 15 team no trade list in July 2024. Kreider is making $5M annually in the last 3 seasons on his contract. Hopefully, he gets 15 more goals and becomes the Rangers leading goal scorer during one season. Homegrown guy. Both of them are playing well and doing everything the Rangers have asked of them. Both of them are de facto captains on the team.

The Rangers need cheap forwards for next season.

Bro - over the last 5 months you’ve desperately wanted to add about 147 different players. Top, Mid, Bottom, and defensive players. Some vets. Some youngins. Some projects. Some specialists.

You’ve made a case to fill about 3-4 full franchises with the players you want to add to this team. It’s getting a little ridiculous.

Not trying to be a dick. Just saying you should slow your roll because it’s becoming Groundhog Day here.
yes and they all fill the same need. crazy radical takes. Looking around the league for players that fill needs.

Have these players predominantly been middle 6 centers or energy spark plugs? They were? omg maybe it's a massive need? mentioned in a ROSTER BUILDING thread.... No shit.

have no clue what the point of your post was.
