I would trade Strome, why take the risk and let him walk as UFA. Rangers can get something for him at the deadline deptjh like they did with Gaborik at the same time were also in the playoffs

Risk of what? We don't have to re-sign him

It's unlikely we can make a Hockey Trade with him and even if we did we're not improving our team by doing it.

As much as Strome is hated here, he is more valuable to the Rangers than he is in what he'd return in a trade.

We're not going to get an upgrade at center and we're not going to get anyone that is good under team control.

I know they were probably healthier then but that game in Vegas we got dominated like we've only been dominated a couple of times this season. That's embarrassing.

WPG beating VGK 6-3.

That will bring them 2 pts behind Vegas with a game in hand.

If I were a betting man, Vegas is not making the playoffs.

Panic time in Vegas, lets take advantage
Karma for playing the cap loophole like Tampa.

They are a very top heavy win now team with no prospects that will be in the basement sooner rather than later.

Georgiev with retention for Reilly Smith?

Karlsson and Smith?

Would rather try to pry Copp/Scheifele out of Peg.

Both orgs should be selling

Lots of talk recently about Panarin & Fox's play slipping, but took no further than their BFFs. Strome & Lindgren have been largely terrible since the the calendar turned to 2022. Both guys seem like they will be truly exposed in the playoffs.
6 points tonight and 12 over the last two and combined for the game winner lol

This was an anti-Lindgren/Strome statement just to clarify. Fox & Panarin have been excellent in the past 2 (and the majority of the season). Coincidentally, after Brooks called them out in so many words.

Don’t think it hurt that Gallant pulled their minutes back a bit before this recent resurgence either

Strome hasn’t been great. Lindgren plays a hard game that could be catching up to him. He’s likely playing through some knocks including that bomb of a shot he blocked and got pushed off the ice by Igor

With the rental market looking pretty bare, would the Rangers trade their 1st for someone with a couple years of control? Lehkonen, Hagel, maybe Crouse fits this mold? I know people want to hold onto these picks for dear life, but trading late firs roundrs for really solid players to lengthen the lineup worked pretty well for Tampa bay.

Arthur Staple's latest podcast. This guy is willing to trade Robertson and 2nd round pick to rent Rakell. He also wrote that a few weeks ago. Staple said he asked someone about Helleson and they feel Robertson is better than Helleson. The Rangers should offer a 2nd and Robertson to Winnipeg for Copp with the intention of signing Copp to an extension. If they feel they can't sign him, don't make the trade. Copp and Trouba have known each other since they were 10 years old. They played together at the U.S. program. University of Michigan and Winnipeg. Staple brought up Lundkvist's situation. His agent is Claude Lemieux. He feels Lemieux could start complaining if his client is not playing in the NHL in the near future. Claude is also Lias Andersson's agent. Andersson is really lighting things up in Los Angeles. Vince Mercogliano said something similar a few weeks ago about Lundkvist.

The Rangers should consider trading Lundkvist and their first round for long term help. Trade Lundkvist for a forward prospect. There is no room for him here.

Too many unhappy players here. Andersson. Kravtsov. Georgiev. Lundkvist?
