So was Mike Gartner and Kelly Kisio. They are just not players that you win with in the short season. Period.

Strome for Spooner was a coup. Strome is not a product of Panarin. I've been a proponent of those two points for a long time. Neither of those points, in my mind of how I believe a winning team is constructed, are relevant.

A center should be able to be the most defensively reliable forward on his line, and, should be strong on winning face offs.

A guy like Zibanejad can get away with being bellow average defensively (although we've seen better from him). Because he puts up a lot of points. But, you can't have two Centers like that in your top 6. It's regressively redundant. For the sake of balance and match-ups. If you have a Zibanejad as your 1c, you cannot have a Zibanejad-lite as your 2c. You need a guy who can bring something else to the table. Not a guy like Strome who brings a similarly weak overall game at a lower production level.

I find it laughable when people only look at points as a barometer of "if" a guy is worthy of his position. Especially the Center position.

Not dogging you specifically Vitto. More a shot across the bow to the Strome fan club.

I don’t know the specifics of what’s going on with the Canucks, but it seems to me like JT Miller is always involved in some kind of “culture” issue with the teams he’s on. In theory he checks all the boxes, but I think the Rangers org knows to steer clear

Deangelo is best when he is on one year deals.

Lemieux was not a culture thing more of a performance thing. I don't miss him at all though, we have enough guys like him. He's ideally a 4th liner and our 4th line is very good.

Lemieux has been playing well the last few weeks, before that he had done jack shit and couldn’t stay in the line up.
