Is there Turcotte rumours or we just hoping he goes in a Kravtsov deal ?
There's no rumors, just a deal that makes sense. It would be more than Kravtsov though. Probably a Kravtsov and Lundkvist/Jones+ package.

LAK have an absurd amount of center depth. We have made a couple of small deals with them already for our 'castaways' and it's worked out for them.

Draft. More. Centers.

It's really not that hard.

I don't buy this "Rangers can't develop because they haven't" excuse.

It's fixable with a combination of analytics, personnel changes, and root cause analysis from an Operational Risk POV.

Ive been beating this drum for a while now but its kinda too late now as anyone you draft now may not be ready for 3 years, my fix is to find a guy like Hayton or Lavoie who hasn't quite hit their stride but is in the similar age group of the rest of the kids.

I know Turcotte is the ideal candidate, but IMO I doubt they move him w/o a massive overpayment, esp cause I can see them moving him to wing. If I was Dru I'd check in on JAD. having a great AHL season so far and prob wouldn't cost as much. Maybe Robertson+? Also Vlardi could be an option but he seems to be injury prone.

I'd be willing. There's only so many spots available at the NHL. We need a good-great, long term 2C/2way center. Turcotte fits the bill.

I'd honestly give them Chytil, Kravtsov and Lundkvist.

Those 3 would be way to much
That's the point though. I'd be willing to go that high to get the player we need. IMO it's the biggest issue right now.

We have a lot of assets. We need to use them... Unfortunately, we have no cap space to work with

i don’t think Turcotte would be any better than Chytil . He needs NHL games to get his feet wet before we can expect him to crush it

NYR has tons of cap space for a rental no?

long term? Turcotte's better and fills more needs imo.

There physical attributes may be around the same... but IQ/gamesense/2way play/playmaking/vision/motor is what separates him from Chytil.... ie all the things that I don't like about Chytil.

I'm waiting every season for Chytil to show improvements but it's more of the same.... Doesn't mean he can't improve but it is what it is...

they’d probably want Robertson/Miller + kravtsov
LA needs some mobile size on their left side of the blueline.

I know everyone sees Barron as more of a 3C. I do as well. I think he’d be an excellent fit there. But what if the kid continues to surprise us?
What if he comes up and has tremendous chemistry with Panarin for instance??
He’s a really smart player so I can’t completely rule it out at this time.
A year and a half ago, many thought he maxes out as a 4th liner.
Maybe, we just just try him there for a couple of games and see before making a blockbuster trade???

Its not the stat line I'm watching, he's not worth bringing in at 6 mill till 2027 given everything else we have going on.
That's a different argument than you made earlier. Go back and read your first post. They would not unload him in a minute to 'get out from under his contract'

You couldn't get him out of Vegas with a crowbar.

At $5.9MM, he's paid properly to be a long term number two center. Getting Eichel will make him even more effective.

Perhaps Stephenson?

Eh, the castaways Rangers sent them suck. I'd take one of Cullye and the hope pick for Lemieux (I forget if it was Boyko/Vailsainen/Lamb) having better careers over Lemieux or Anderrson.

Perhaps, but much more likely that they move out a winger. They have $31.5 MM tied up in their top five wings. That’s a small fortune.

I think a Reilly Smith rental is still the most likely move. Gallant’s guy.
Me too. Let’s hope they get fleeced. By us. Could (actually) happen here

Hintz and Faksa would cost an arm and leg. It's the term and Hintz has RFA rights. So you're looking at Chytil/Kravstov/either Lundkvist or Jones/1st and more.

LA would want a lot for Turcotte. I'd be curious if they'd be willing to deal Ardverson even show short into his stint. He's on IR right now. He's someone who could help stabilize the Rangers RW scoring issue.

The Rangers as Cup contenders will not happen until 2-3 years from now. Anyone who thinks this year's team is a Cup contender is delusional. This team should make the playoffs and MAYBE win a round.

This version is too imbalanced and the main ingredients aren't ripe enough yet.

Ideally the center depth in two-years will be Zibanejad, Strome replacement whether internal or acquisition, Barron, draft pick, with Goodrow as a tweener and Chytil as well if he is still here.

You draft centers in the mid rounds instead of 84224532 LHDs every year and just two click, you're good.
