Yeah hes off. Its been agreed to by both parties but due to some cap issues, it can't officially be announced yet.

Those cap issues are an interesting wrinkle in their own right, I believe it's called tagging space, and apparently teams can not commit to combined cap hits beyond this years cap ceiling for next year.

I have been kind of harping on saying the Rangers have cap space, space for next year and maybe even the one after they could use to coax some better returns, deals that other sellers would have trouble matching, and that is just another factor that leads me to believe they could.

Pittsburgh is close to the limit right now, Tampa is not that far off. If ether are taking back any relatively large cap hits that go beyond this season they are likely to also have to send some cap out.

If Nashville wants to extend someone they traded for, for example Duchene right away, that also would probably put them pretty close to the limit.

It will be easier for the fans to accept it when they know this is Zucc's decision. After all they did try to sign him short term.

I don’t see how nylander for kreider makes us any better.

Kreider is a force on the power play where a lot of his contribution doesn’t even show up on the scoreboard. Ask Zibanejad how many goals he’s scored this year because CK was standing in front of the goalie perfectly.

We need a nylander in addition to having a kreider on the left side not in place of
