You definitely have a point but you could see levels of skills in some guys that just looked a level above imo.

Dylan Larkin was one of the USA's best players. He is good, but would you want him or Eichel on your team come playoff time?
This all or nothing attitude has become pervasive on our boards and it’s making them less enjoyable. It’s a lot like the eye test vs analytics divide. Some despise analytics. Some think they are the only thing that matters (in which case we could probably just sim the season based off last years stats). No 4N wasn’t NHL hockey and isn’t a GOOD indicator of individual player’s value or ability. It’s also silly to say you should take NOTHING away from it. @NickyFotiu isn’t at all wrong in saying “after observing best on best hockey, I don’t feel like OUR best really match up well against THE best”. I’m sure that observation is coupled with his extensive watching of NHL hockey and the past few years playoffs and what the most competitive teams look like. The superior dismissiveness with which everyone’s begun addressing each other is so smug and so detestable it’s made these boards much less than they once were. Everyone has to be so f***ing superior and advanced in their thinking and constantly dismissing each other out of hand. “Ha, 4N wasn’t REAL hockey… only a fool would draw conclusions from that”. But @NickyFotiu clearly isn’t a fool and has been posting here forever. Why are you addressing him like he’s some dumb know nothing who just made his first post? His opinion is obviously supplemented by his years of watching us and the overall conclusions he has drawn. And he isn’t wrong. Our best doesn’t really stack up with THE best. That’s somehow controversial when other people say it, but the same people who shit on it when someone else posts it UNDOUBTEDLY have a dozen or two posts saying how badly we suck over the past 12 months as well. So we only suck when it’s in the way and in accordance with the opinions that you posit. When people stop being hypocritical, dismissive shits to one another, I’ll be a lot more like the Loki you guys used to like. A lot of you have become really arrogant and ugly lately (I am aware that I have as well, but it has been an intentional shift to show you how much you hate it when someone else does it). Cut it out.

I don’t see the Rangers trading Kreider, but a guy like that with a term like that would be pretty attractive if we were true sellers…which I’m not convinced we are.

If the rangers are motivated to move him, I think they can. Edmonton traded multiple picks for a guy on IR today

Looking back at last year against Florida. Fox's knee is banged up. I'm not convinced it's been an issue with him all year---that he did not or did not have or take enough time to really rehab it enough. He got married and that might have got in the way too. In that series I think the Rangers coaching staff had options they could have made that they should have made. For instance Edstrom instead of a wobbly Chytil or Wheeler the one game he played. Rangers got knocked around a lot and a healthy Edstrom might have helped. The defense banged up as it was Ruhwedel and Jones in for Trouba and Lindgren....at least they were healthy.
If the Rangers had had someone like JT then too---might have offset Barkov a whole lot better than Mika did. We've been watching a better Rempe lately too. His work cycling down low in the attacking zone is getting to be pretty good. He hangs on to the puck. He gets it to other teammates or out to the defensemen at the point. His balance is better and he can move.....and then no one has to tell him he knows enough to go to the front of the net when he doesn't have the puck.
If Kreider goes, i bet he'll be dealt to the Kings. Big body, scores in the playoffs. Kings need secondary scoring and playoff experience

IDK why but I find it extremely annoying when players are called "assets" or "pieces". Also hate when hacks like Pagnotta say that a GM "got a nice piece of business done with this signing/trade".
I’m fairly sure I explained it. A lot of our posters have become insufferable. Everyone hates it when I do it and I am very literally mocking the way 50% of our posters have begun behaving. And I’m not just saying that - our other mods know that I’ve said that to them before this, as do other posters. Stop being insufferable hypocrites if you don’t like it when other people do it back. It’s simple. Stop sucking (not you). A lot of posters have become really sucky people this year. I have no skin in the game nor any reason to coddle any of you. I will be twice as annoying in the exact same ways. Look in your mirror if it annoys you when the shoe is on the other foot. “God, Loki is a condescending know it all”. Yep, no crap. It’s annoying, huh? Sure is.

I am in fact a cop, and I am also a mod so if there were such a thing as mod police, the answer would be yes x2. Again, hilarious. Maybe just be less dismissive in your initial response to @NickyFotiu instead of (and it’s not just you, it’s the new trend here) being smug and dismissive as if he’s a poster who has no clue what he’s talking about. If it’s annoying when I do it, trust me, it’s still annoying when you don’t realize you’re doing it.
