I'm pretty sure Brooks writes for entertainment value and doesan't completely buy into everything he writes about. It is about getting more clicks. That's how the bills are payed.
I remember a time when, if Brooks said it, there was smoke about it.

The last few years? I feel like less and less of what he's writing about is an actual thing.

We never did get his favorite player of all-time Josh Anderson.

Larry is in his mid-70s and had a heart cleanup a few years ago. He's enjoying being a grandfather and not having to go on the road that much anymore.

Having him around as the last part of the old guard; cherish it. At some point the reigns will be handed over to Vince and Instagram Mollie.

As for Josh Anderson; I think the all-time biggest blunder was when Larry wanted the Rangers to offersheet Chris Gratton a lifetime ago.

I think there's a very unfair standard that anything Uncle Larry writes about has to be smoke. If there's actually nothing does he just not get paid that week?

Double unfair when what he writes is expressly what if stuff. He's allowed to have ideas that are solely his.

It was a perfectly reasonable opinion piece.

He is and he's gonna get like 5 mil per from somebody that thinks he's better than this year's version.
Lou can't wait to repurpose that Leo Komarov money.

Sam's gonna be 78 in August. If I was that age and made enough money to retire, I'd call it a day rather than the wear and tear from traveling to Alberta, Manitoba, or Illinois in the winter and having to lug a suit around.
I don't think they travel as much as they used to....sometimes, it sounds like he and The Mouth are broadcasting from MSG -- much like they did during the COVID period.

Definitely, I also think he's bored with no Rangers games going on. This is the best way to read other people's opinions and kill time. He probably wants to see arguments.

I’m really starting to warm to the idea of Panarin for Fiala +. It just fits for both teams.
I watched fiala closely with la kings and i can say he is better suited to the circus than the nhl. ABSOLUTELY ZERO HOCKEY SENSE. This might sound way overboard but truthfully i watched this guy make stupider plays with the puck than i have ever seen anotherplayer make. He often attempts to make up for his brain dead plays by taking a penalty. Myself and other kings fans will tell you theyve never seen anything like this freak. Take it from me, we dont want him. Unless its on a different team for comedy relief. I have never laughed as hard at any other nhl players antics than i have at fialas.

I think Drury intends to get bigger in the bottom 6 and on D before the deadline passes. JT+Cuylle as top 6 fixtures and hopefully Lafreniere begins to find his game from last year. I think we can take anyone in the East as long as Igor does his thing.

The Mika/Panarin level changes come in the summer but there's no reason they cant make some noise this year.

Not that we're going to run over everyone, but the hustle and grind of guys like Cuylle, Trocheck, and Miller are vital to long playoff runs. That type of grit can stifle a skilled offense, as we've run into during the Mika/Kreider-led era.

Laf can play that game when he wants to, but he needs to put up or shut up.

I do agree--Drury is going to get more of that into the bottom 6, and I think him keeping Othmann, Sykora, and Berard show he wants that level of effort, even if the players themselves aren't huge.

Once Panarin goes, we need to add another pain in the ass winger who can still produce, i.e. a Tkachuk type.

I don't think Othmann has that much of a ceiling, but he will be a pain to play against.
