I like Smith as a player, but trading him is na obvious move. He should fetch a decent haul.
I see it being a 2nd they look to flip for a player they like as a long term solution.

Just as I predicted
I appreciate Drury for making the right call on selling. I didn't think he would, I was certain he was going to buy.
I’m all aboard. We can’t have a lazy guy who decides when he wants to show up. Or stops when he gets paid.I'm surprised you all have given up on the Laf+ for Tkachuk idea.
It's one of my personal favorites.
Hes a 3rd/4th line plug that will be looking for Goodrow money or more.Hy are people putting Frederick in? The guy had one good year. We can do better or just not spend that money on a player who should be on the 4th line
He has pretty good hands but that’s about it.I like Smith as a player, but trading him is an obvious move. He should fetch a decent haul.
I don’t know man. Look at last game. Do you really think Lavi is going to give them more than like 5 minutes? The ONE thing that would be exciting for me would be some youngsters getting some legitimate ice time down the stretch here.
Yeaaaaah very true. Shouldn't get my hopes up at all.I don’t know man. Look at last game. Do you really think Lavi is going to give them more than like 5 minutes?
IMO we would have heard by now if Panarin was even a small possibility for the deadline.Like the fact that Drury is getting out in front of D Day. Seems like in the past, our plan B and C options were no longer available when the grand plan failed.
After Smith goes we’ll see what happens with Jones, if Domingue has any value, and whether one of Krieder or Pan go now or in the offseason.

I’m pretty sure the Gaborik move came about with no preceding rumors. I don’t think Panarin will get moved this week but it’s still a possibilityIMO we would have heard by now if Panarin was even a small possibility for the deadline.
Players like that don’t usually get moved without significant preceding rumors
Agreed. Panarin has the NMC, so if he gets traded, we probably won't know about it until it happens.I’m pretty sure the Gaborik move came about with no preceding rumors. I don’t think Panarin will get moved this week but it’s still a possibility
Trading Carrick seems like a move just to make a move
He’s signed for nothing for the next two years, has been solid as the 4C. I guess you could move him for a mid round pick but what’s the point
I think he would be a useless add. But he has more points than Kakko over the past 2 seasons. Definitely not a plugHes a 3rd/4th line plug that will be looking for Goodrow money or more.
Pass.
Smart too, seems like the sellers who get out first get the better hauls. As it gets to the trade deadline date the buyers start getting the bargins.Like the fact that Drury is getting out in front of D Day. That's the right PP1 with this roster. I'm out of excuses for #13. He's had opportunities this season to prove he should be on PP1 and he's let all of them slide through his fingers. That's on him.
