He doesn't have any kind of size. He's downright small in this league.
The AHL lists Othmann at 6ft 186 pounds. He's only 22 years old.
The average size of an NHL Forward is 6'1" 198 pounds.
I honestly would call Othman slightly below average, with a good chance to be the average weight in two years...

My only issue honestly is the guys who've who weren't part of the problem like Fil & Kakko getting sent packing before Lindy, Kreider & Mika get moved. It's difficult to see the full picture of what Drury has planned until that happens, but it's even harder to understand when they still have Lindgren stapled to Fox & seeing first pair minutes.

I understand Fil was the center of the deal for JTM & you know I'm very on board with that move, however it's just so Rangers to advertise they have a veteran core problem, yet they continue to deal the young guys. Hockey is just different here.

Yeah the fact that they've kept Lindgren this long, and paired with Fox, signals to me that they are worried what will happen to the team if another leader is purged. Not a good reason but it is what it is. It's why he'll go on deadline day and not a day sooner (unless they lose the next 3 games). If the rangers win the next 3 they might self rent , which would be dumb, but i still think there's no intention to bring him back.

Kakko got moved because his complaints were getting amplified and the Rangers saw an opportunity to add a long-term piece on top of being rid of a malcontent. I dont think it was happening for him here. Im not upset with that deal. Chytil is kind of a tragic figure in that he predates the rebuild but never stayed healthy or played consistently well enough to lock down his spot. It was best for all parties to move him in the trade we did. The missed opportunity was not trading both when they had more value years ago. But hindsight is 20/20.

P.S. Filip Chytil will wear the Rangers sweater again at some point down the line. (E5)

i could see a deal around Mika and Kotkaniemi

hopefully the spiritual successor to brassard for mika

Canes will have money to spend because Rantanen is only passing through.

Those measurements are probably from the beginning of last season.

The Wolfpack website lists him at 6' 192 lbs. He is listed at 180 lbs. on the OHL website. 6 pounds gained per year sounds about right.

I dont think the Rangers will need to retain salary or take a bad contract back for Mika. He has value around the league, especially to a non-playoff team. The issue is going to be creating a market of teams he'd be willing to waive the NMC for. Montreal makes a lot of sense imo. The rumor is that he doesnt want to go West, but maybe Chicago as an option? I expect the return to look like the Trouba trade with a higher pick attached.

Interesting that Valliquette still thinks the rangers will look to move Mika. I think it has to be done, he’s not a legit RW, he’s making too much to be your 3C. Probably going to have to take back a contract of some sort to get rid of him but it has to be done.
Ideally you look to take back a contract with less term. Even if it means sweetening the pot.

Yeah, that sounds about right. My point is he is NOT small.
