I don't doubt he's been trying to move all of those guys and listening to offers on more. We see their decline in real time and know how guys like Lindgren/Zib/Kreider play now, but so does everyone else around the league. It's not a well-kept secret that these other GMs aren't keen to.
If nothing else, Drury seems to be active in working to change the DNA of this team. It's going to be incremental and I'm sure will feel very frustrating seeing valuable players go to other teams, but the changes have been coming pretty steadily. As long as there's a focal point that Drury is working toward, we just have to wait and see what he's able to make happen.
Imagine trying to spin Lindgren in a good light?
Drury: Someone he played with like 9 years ago said he was a good leader.
Other GM: Okay, but what can he bring to our team today?
Drury: He's a pleasure to have in video review class.

Kek, imagine worrying about this seasons results. This team isn’t making the playoffs. They need to salvage as much value out of this roster as they can.

Bro, it’s over, this team isn’t winning shit. Give it up. Mika is cooked. Kreider is cooked. Panarin isn’t what he was. Trocheck looks like a 3 rd line center at best.
Through 50 games DJ Meeka is MINUS 25.He is very close to leading the entire NHL in this category. So keep giving the turnover machine big minutes.
The coach and the FO’s allegiance to Lindgren tanked this season.

Sometimes it’s not about being better right now but perhaps a different look. I’d trade Smith and offer Cuylle more time. Back-fill with Berard and Othmann.
Kreider’s is the same for me. He’s been garbage. Time to move on and bring in a younger player

People talk about draft picks like they did during the dark ages which you also brought up. And yet starting from the rookie season our top 2 draft picks have been shit on all the way and no one was giving them any leeway for being young. When we had our draft picks with growing pains we shit on them. Frankly the only time curiously we stopped shitting on Kakko was after he was traded. We love our young players the most after they're traded. So I don't really get the bellyaching about draft picks on this board where we have proven to be a fanbase who has no patience with young players.

Smith is good and I don't think Berard would be a direct upgrade off the bat. If they're out of it they're out of it and you move Smith and let Berard play.
Othmann for Kreider may legitimately be an upgrade. Anyone for Lindgren would be a step in the right direction. He can't play at all.

It’s just completely unbelievable that he is STILL on the top pair next to Fox. It’s 100% unbelievable he is a lock for that role every single night. I can’t even begin to understand it.
That was me. I do wonder if reddit is as negative as HF. But at the same time if reddit is like social media it's far worse. The other day I saw someone complain that we traded Mancini over Fox. People in Social Media are basically the "shooooooot" people at the garden. All they care is about size and toughness, nothing else matters.
Mika is cooked. No saving him. Miller found out the very first shift with him when he dumped it expecting Mika to chase ahahahahahahahahahahaha.
The thing is being upsetting about not trading Lindgren is one thing but being upset at this deal for not trading Lindgren is another. What if the Canucks didn't want him? Any smart GM would prefer Mancini's promise over Lindgren.
i was actually talking about the fact that this site is basically non-functioning as soon as any kind of hockey news occurs where as I doubt Reddit has that problem; but yeah, it's entirely possible that they don't react the way we do as well!

I don't think there are any words to describe how bad he was in this game.
Geekie couldn't hit the widest open net ever which saved him from getting mother f***ed by everyone instead of half of us because all 80% of this place remembers are bad plays that result in goals against.
They will if/when they're 8+ points out on TDL day.
They have 11 games between now and then and realistically if they want to stay in the hunt (not even be in a spot) they probably need to win, at minimum, 8 of those games.
