If they trade some combination of Andersson, Chytil, Sheshyorkin or the #9 for Karlsson I will be extremely disappointed.

I could live with the proposal that was on SB Nation but that's a ton of cap getting eaten up by 2 players when Karlsson will need a larger contract next summer. Ryan's contract is for another 4 years I believe.

I'm going to ban you buddy.

I think you'd have to go back and look at the time stamps on the tweets and compare them to when we heard similar info out of other people. Tons of guys just regurgitate info they pick up around the web and claim to have sources.
Judging from his twitter this guy basically claims to have sources with every single team as he's always saying "I reached out to a source with X team and..." which off the bat sounds pretty BS
Yeah there are some things that certainly seem questionable. I just want to give it more time, and if his "rumors" overwhelmingly end up looking like fake news then at that point stop paying any attention to him.

Marshall is pretty legit I think, I just started following him last week and he called the Hoffman trade the night before it happened, and specifically said he was going West. Now I am just checking his validity by waiting on news about Darnell Nurse. He said his source told him Nurse will sign a bridge with a 2.7 AAV. If anything of the sort goes down the guy is 2 for 2 in a matter of 3 days.

Well Ottawa wanted Glass, 2 1sts, and a conditional pick for Karlsson and Ryan. Atleast that's what was reported by Friedman. For the Rangers that would probably be Chytil/Andersson instead of Glass. If it was the 2 late 1sts+Andersson+conditional pick, I honestly don't know how you turn that down, even though I would prefer to see if Karlsson gets to FA.

Talk of taking Lucic and Ryan is insane. Are you guys okay

Not sure that's what the org had in mind when they wanted to change the culture of the room.

That price was for 2 Karlsson runs.

With everything that’s come out and the 1 less playoff run, that value has diminished

This was for Karlsson with (2) playoff runs left in him. He no longer has that

If we get EK I'm done with this f***ing team!!!
Spinning your tires at its finest.
Unless we get him for nothing (to lazy to list the names or picks I wouldn't trade) please pass!!!

They are gonna want chytil our first this year and or next plus someone like skjei ar least. Anyone know JG ? If so please tell him to stick with the plan otherwise I will be very old by the time we truly decide to put a real team together from the ground up

That's true, and it's also likely that the Rangers wouldn't trade for Karlsson without a guarantee of an extension, which would probably increase the asking price higher than what it supposedly was. The whole thing is unlikely as it is, but interesting to think about.

Do people realize how slow Lucic is? It’s painful to watch.

It's EDM, of course they don't. It's also HF, people would probably advocate buying a top-3 pick for $50 million if the NHL allowed such a thing outright. I know NY has money but its just a giant disconnect to how businesses try to operate.

If Karlsson extends for 5-6 years right after I'd love to have him. I really don't want to give him 7-8 years.

EK is a premiere player. It would all depend on the trade. Dorion has made some awful trades during his tenure so if he is consistent I think we would all be happy. Trading for EK, you might as well sign JT then. Because I mean what is the point? Why would EK re-sign without the promise of being on a competitive team? And if he doesn’t re-sign then the trade is a disaster.

That was at the deadline. Value could have changed since then especially with the sens locker room issues--just about every single person on that team has had their value tanked at this point

I can't believe what I'm reading on here! We are on the verge in maybe forever of having a top 5/6 prospect pool and now we are gonna let it all go? No please no! The plan has to be to compete in 2020 for hopefully 5-10 years . If he wants to come here as a Free agent fine

It's hard to turn down EK, who's so incredibly, incredibly good. But the management has been proactive instead of reactive about retooling and being realistic about the team and has been taking short term pain for long term gain trades the last couple years and their 3 year rebuild window coincides with the Staal/Smith anchor contracts a little too perfectly to not be by design.

Have faith IMO.
