I’m sure this will end well

Shit like this is why you have to fire Lavi. Drury should be gone too, but when you have a coach that refuses to play a better, younger defenseman over washed up burnt toast like Lindgren they gotta go. Equally as fireable an offense as continuing to roll Zib out at the end of games over better options.

You'd fire a coach because one particular player is unhappy?

It's not just a question of whether Jones should be in the lineup or not. One player playing instead of another right now is not going to fix this season and it's very questionable whether Jones is in the Rangers plans beyond this year even if Lindgren, Borgen and Vaakanainen aren't either.

Fire em all, trade all these bums vets. Start fresh with young coach

It’s two now. Kakko was first.

We are playing shit players over young players with potential. Maybe they dont reach it or get better, but we will never know and that’s on the coach/gm.

One player? Name 1 player on our team that isn't unhappy.

He's probably in the lineup if he doesn't keep pinching to the goal line on a scrambles leading to odd man's against and goals from those rushes.

No coach would roll you back out there. Play defense.
Not only we are those able to see what Lindgren brings to stay in the lineup. Insubordination cannot be encouraged and we know where it’s stemming from but while Kreider has been benched, Zibanejad moved down the line and taken off PP1, what rightful repercussions for his play Lindgren has suffered?

Anyone because forwards was not an issue for the Rangers recently. Outside of Schneider, Mancini and Jones what young dman do the Rangers have in their system that has piotential and no Robertson and Scanlin don’t count. They are AHL vets for a reason, they suck.
Saying anybody doesn't help. They could have just randomly stocked on up whatever d-man was close to their draft selection, but that doesn't really mean we wouldn't be in this position and they would be pros now.

I don't blame Jones. I'm sure it was a lot easier for him to see why he was a potential 7th on this team who would be in and out of the lineup. But now, Jones is probably looking at the defense thinking "Urho got to be kidding me. This is borgining to be ridiculous."

Kakko and now Jones. Are we content to just trade all the younger guys for shit picks and trash 7th dmen? I'm not even a huge Jones fan but he should have found his way back into the lineup over Lindgren/Borgen. It's not like they are winning anyways, may as well get Jones more experience and see if he can develop more.

Hopefully more young players chime in. Doubt somebody like Cuylle is happy being one of a handful of players who gives a damn AND actually produces in his measly ice time.

More leadership and accountability with the US World Juniors team than the NY Rangers

Kreider and Zib would make sure he knows that isn't acceptable here.

Another young kid being ruined and we will never be able to see what could have been. Rangers doing great with that.

Unless Jones figures out how to win a single puck in the defensive zone, or score more than a point every 4 games, he won't be an NHL player.

That's just the reality. There's a reason guys like Honka are playing in Europe. He couldnt get the puck off of Brett Berard if he tried.

And yes, Urho sucks worse.

Zac jones mouthing off to the media about ice time. Unserious organization.

And what I mean by that is an AHL level defenseman feels comfortable calling out this coaching staff, knowing it will lead to a trade. Inmates are running the asylum. I’m embarrassed as a fan of this team. Unbecoming of an O6 franchise.

The Nigel Dawes route. Former Ranger who goes on to dominate over there. Perhaps the Rangers are effective at developing players for the KHL.

Small, weak, defenseman who isn't very good in his own zone and has some offensive skill, but isn't great offensively, but is a very good skater is the type of guy who thrives there that almost never does anything in the NHL.

You can't wipe the entire roster of veterans and expect things to go well. That was the one part of the rebuild that the Rangers got half-right; They added veterans to the roster to insulate the kids. Where they went wrong was that they overpaid them and turned the team over to those guys instead of the kids that they drafted.

Trocheck is a good player. He's one of the few vets who actually seems to give a shit. No reason to move him this season unless a team blows your doors off with an offer and he's willing to waive to go there.
