Patrick Kane is also an instant excommunication pick.
All the players in almost 100 years of history and someone chooses a one hip Patrick Kane lmao

I’m astounded by the amount of people I see in Kane jerseys when I go to games. He was here for 5 mins. Dolan made a killing off that trade just in jersey sales alone

It’s so preposterous that we’re talking about giving up on laf when he showed what he could do in the playoffs last year. And this based off a historically bad stretch that we haven’t seen in two decades.
You can f*** right off
He's a good player and I fully admit that it's just emotions.

I didn't want a good player. I wanted a player that was gonna change our lives.

I refuse to swallow that that was an unfair expectation.

Kyper and Bourne just had Rene Lavoie on and he mentioned a possibility of Mika going to Colorado in a Raantanen trade because they may not be able tonpay him and would like a cost controlled center, not sure what else would need to be added but sign me up if it's not ridiculous
Shucks, just a year too late to mentor Kakko.

can we give McDavid part ownership of the team to coerce him here?

or just follow the new trend and defer 100M to him

Sadly, that's the only way we will get a true1C.

Having done better in the playoffs in the past doesn't necessitate profiling better for the team going forward.
Well, none of us can predict the future but history has proven that one of these two players elevates his game come playoffs. Personally I would stick with the proven perfomer.

I couldn't believe we traded away a 25 year old JT Miller for Namestikov as a throw in within the McDonagah trade when it happened. One of the all time moronic Ranger moves in recent memory. There were whispers of how disliked he was in the locker room and his personality was grating on people. From listening to Brian Boyle and everyone else that has actually played with him it turns out that "grating personality" was him being a competitive animal who held his teammates accountable. Definitely wouldn't want something like that within your organization. Much better to have a team of "nice guys". So instead, lets live through all of his developmental hiccups and the exact moment he enters his prime and is becoming a finished product, trade him away for next to nothing. Then try to trade for him 7 years later. Classic Rangers, never change. What a treat.

He's not even the best Ranger to wear that jersey. I have no complaints about experiencing decrepit Lindros.

now this i could get behind

The value was dog shit, but by all accounts Miller was the same cocky douche here as the one that’s been causing problems in Vancouver for 3 years now.

From a pure esthetic standpoint, that year of prime Gaborik was balls. Explosiveness, silky speed and sniper shot.
09-10 gaborik is the most dominant single season i’ve seen from a ranger

i know panarin put up 120 but that 09-10 rangers team had a PITIFUL offense and Torts as coach. gaborik was f***ing INSANE that year.

like, panarin had 4 teammates who scored 70+ points. gaborik had two teammates who score over 40 points lmao

11-12 wasn't bad either. He and Richards were lethal.

he was great that year but he was on another level in 09-10
Maybe the purest sniper we've ever had. And he scored dirty too, cashed in a lot of loose change. Shot off the pass and into the far top shelf on those 2 on 1s from the right circle was a thing of beauty. No present Ranger can do that.

As long as we're ripping that bong, we also never trade Zubov and roll into the mid-90's with two top-5 centers and two top-10 defensemen.

Four straight Cups. Detroit and Colorado can get some hands.
Want a big rip? To start that 1992 season they still have Doug Weight and to ease Lindork in they slot him at RW as Graves-Messier-Lindros have no regard for human life.

Man panarin and Gaborik would have been something special.
