Kane’s the better player. It depends on the C and the W.
I’d take Kane over Toews.
Would you prefer Kane as a Winger or Center if he played both positions at an elite level?

Gorilla Glue? Bubble kush? NYC Diesel?
What are you smoking?
Panarins not a top 5 player in this league.I would LOVE to find a Top 5 player in the league who would only get a 7/77 contract.
If you're finding yourself into thinking this way, you've already lost and don't understand the current cap system.
Do you enjoy posting nonsense that has nothing to do with hockey in a hockey thread?
Yes...which is why 7/77 is a great deal for him. You completely missed the point.Panarins not a top 5 player in this league.
The cost of acquiring him is going to be pretty painful too.
It’s pretty much on par with the nonsense you posted.
Fixed it for yaI have a quiet yearning that Florida may be a red herring for Panarin.
You’re forgetting plain old willpower. He might just decide to start mailing it in at 30. What could we do if so? Not a damn thing. Here’s a question for the Pro Panarin crowd.
Our greatest fears come true and he starts declining at 30.
So, in year 3 of his 7 year contract he falls victim to Father Time and his production drops from the 80 point range to the 60 point range.
What do you do? What can you do? He’s locked up for another 4 years with a NMC absorbing 13% of our teams cap.
This is true, but they don’t all need to own the game in traffic. We have guys who can do that.
Yes...which is why 7/77 is a great deal for him. You completely missed the point.
Top 5 players in this league, which you are apparently holding out for in terms of giving a 7/77 deal, would cost way more if they became free agents now.
In fantasy football in previous years was Rob Gronkowski's value not higher than it would have been if he were a WR due to how much better he was than other tight ends? There are many more good centers than good wings. Therefore the top wings can provide more value over their replacements as their replacements are far worse. 26 of the top 50 scorers in the league this year (forwards) were centers. However there are 1/2 as many centers in the league as wings.
Not a good analogy.
He could have made 13M per from SJ, so no. We had this same discussion weeks ago.![]()
Giant swing and miss on whatever point you were trying to make.
How about a mulligan?
lol k i'm sorry you lack the intelligence to understand it good night.
Kane’s the better player.

Sounds like a good plan. That's a risk you take with every UFA. You may as well just never sign anyone in that case.
Besides, Panarin plays like Zucc and he's a high-level performer at 31. Panarin isn't going to decline short of injury. I'd put money on it.
He could have made 13M per from SJ, so no. We had this same discussion weeks ago.
Yeah. Having an 88pt player who scored 40 goals really is a swing and a miss.
SJS and NYI offered him more money.
Your turn to mulligan.
So you don't care about what the actual market value is for elite players. 11M under an 82M cap is what elite, not top-5 players make. Tavares who isn't top-5, but provides similar value to Panarin got offered more than that by 2 teams. Clearly 7/77 is not what top-5 players can make in the current era.I don’t give a damn what he could have made. He signed a 7 year/77M contract.
Yeah. Having an 88pt player who almost scored 50 goals really is a swing and a miss.
SJS and NYI offered him more money.

You still don't get it. I'm sorry.Dude, you’re just playing yourself right now.![]()
Which version is better?
That’s the point I was making.
Whatever analogy you are trying to come up with won’t convince me that Winger is a more important position to a hockey team than Center.
