How about Quinn sending someone to rough up Bergeron next time Rangers vs Bruins or rough up Pasta or Marchand. It was a dirty hit in my opinion. Reminded me of the Andersson Bergeron hit from last year.
wouldn’t mind seeing any of that top line get boarded from behind or cross checked really high tbh

Could this be a 1-2 month type situation if he's being reevaluated in 2 weeks?

You really think that there is a conspiracy theory in play here? Hide a concussion?

Yes, like with every other injury, there can be good days and bad days. And like with every other injury, there can be set backs. A bruised sternum is only 1 million degrees different than a bruise on your arm.

But sure, I can see where there is a vast conspiracy is a much more logical approach.

I absolutely believe they don’t want to publicly say he has a concussion.

I don’t believe a neck injury has good days then goes backwards to the point you can’t skate 2 weeks later.

i also absolutely believe and know concussion symptoms can show up later ask sterling Shep about that.

I also believe Mika took a shoulder pad to the chin. Not to the chest

And you know what Mika looks like when he comes back from injury. Awful. This season can fall apart for him quickly. But worse His history is really bad. I’m concerned.

Takes about 3 weeks to a month without a setback regain a form. Mostly has to do with doing absolutely nothing until completely symptom free.

you have good days and then bad days with a bruised sternum? There’s no set backs with a bruise. That’s what Quinn said today. That’s not forthcoming. It’s been 2 weeks.

Maybe its not a bruised Sternum.

Could be whip lash or a host of other things. They say its not a head injury, they have no reason to lie about it.

Zibanejad has a history of concussions. Having (and disclosing) another one would have a number of potential repercussions. That could be a reason for not announcing the current injury as a concussion.

Deal 1. Skjei to Arizona for Fischer and a lottery protected 1st (top 10, becomes an unprotected 1st in 21' if top 10 in 20').

Deal 2. Fischer to EDM for Puljujärvi.

Kreider-Ziba-Kakko
Panarin-Strome-Pulju
Lemieux-Howden-Buch
McKegg-Lias-Fast
Hajak-Trouba
Lindgren-Fox
Staal-TDA

Such as?

There have been plenty of guys who have had a history of head injuries and have had a public documentation of it.

I agree. How many has he had?
How can we resign him if he’s prone to concussions? The sad answer is we can’t.

Do tell what Ruff has done that should earn him credit
Lets be logical about this. If Quinn and Gorton didn't think he was contributing, he wouldn't be here right now.

a. Tony DeAngelo improvement
b. Adam Fox steadied after shaky start first couple of games
c. Libor Hajek improvement
d. Ryan Lindgren improvement

He has something to do with all of this.

great points, with more competitive heat on the way from within.

He hasn't really improved in his own end from when he got here. Improvements in the offensive end aren't really on Ruff and more of an extension of his offensive talents. So, negative for Ruff.
b. Adam Fox steadied after shaky start first couple of games
I think this is more on the player than the coach, but to each their own. So, really nothing to do with Ruff.
c. Libor Hajek improvement
Kid has been absolutely floundering out there, but that's also because he's being overmatched out there and should be lower in the lineup, but no real improvement to put in his place outside of Skjei. So, not positive for Ruff.
d. Ryan Lindgren improvement
Debateable, but being with Fox right now does mask things. So, unknown for Ruff.

Overall, I think none of your points are positives for Ruff.

OK...some nuggets from a recent lunch...

Coyotes worried about the age of their defense. They would like to bring in some younger talent, preferably close to NHL ready. Have been really pleased with the progress Chychurn has made in his third pro season (finally injury free)

Coyotes have green light from their new owner to spend whatever necessary to get into the playoffs. They need scoring more than anything else. (This could certainly affect the Rangers based on a certain player's M-NTC list) They have never spent anywhere close to the cap. With Hossa on LTIR, they are about $3MM under cap.

Sharks bound and determined to do anything necessary to get into the playoffs. They are mortified by the drop off in Erik Karlsson's play. One interesting possibility that was mentioned was that Jonathan Quick could be a possible option in goal (my problem for your problem)

The one team in the east that is snooping around looking for deals is Pittsburgh.

Sorry, nothing on the Rangers. Some amazement though how they are playing (and succeeding) with three rookies on defense.

Hmm...wonder if based on that info if the Coyotes would be interested in someone like Lundkvist? He could be a young dman on their team as soon as next year. Would they deal Garland to get a young defenseman?

This is not a short term repercussions and I don’t want to hijack this thread but use your imagination in figuring out how potential trade discussions will go and how value assessment is impacted if his concussion history ended two seasons ago vs. with another recent instant.
