I like Rempe for the energy he brings. And how he can lay some big hits on the forecheck.

He's not a fighter, or a good fighter, at this point. I'd rather him not fight tbh. Just run around and lay the body and get the team/fans engaged.

Seravalli says he thinks the Rangers right side of the defense is as good as any team in hockey. Says worst case scenario is it's the 5th best right side in hockey. Says he thinks NYR are still a playoff team.

Not sure if the Rangers can make it at this point because of the strength of their remaining schedule and the tough division. They would have to go on a historic run.

But Drury is sure as hell going to try to improve the team, he cannot afford to have them miss.

Dreger says he thinks Kakko has more to give and he likes the deal for SEA.

Ferraro likes the Kakko trade for SEA. Says he sees a big, strong puck protector in Kakko and that he got into a spot in NY that he was never going to break free from. Says the team acquiring a player will look at what the player can do while the team trading said player looks at what said player can't do. Says that makes a difference in the mind of the player. Says Kakko will feel less pressure since Seattle isn't NY. Says SEA gave up a UFA at the end of the year and a 3rd and a 6th.....says he's not so sure what the Rangers get.

Absolutely. If I were a new fan choosing a team, them being on Eastern Time would be one of the deciding factors for me. I like waking up at 4-5AM like an old man so I'd hate staying up until 10PM to watch every game. Or the unGodly hours an east coaster would stay up to watch West Coast games. I also enjoy the occasional morning game, enjoying coffee while watching hockey is nice & cozy

He's gonna value his guys at 120c on the dollar because they're all young with term. In a vacuum (or on a messageboard) he'd be right.

Other teams gonna call with 80c on the dollar like "you guys suck and this guy isn't actually good yet, you paid for potential" and nothings gonna happen. He can't lose trades on paper because he'll get fired.

But it was absolutely the right move To Keep Kreider at that time. That team was on a roll and ot would have destroyed the room.

True, won't argue that. A scorched earth rebuild though, should have pounced on that.

We kinda know for 8 years maybe, that Kreider ain't it. And we had our shots. f***ing many actually.

I thought maybe a sign and trade around the draft or before free agency was the best for him. I didn't want him resigned bc frankly i didnt think he was a player to build around and we were still in rebuild.

I still dont think he is a player to build around.

At this point it's done. The Kreider we always envisioned, showed himself for what, two seasons? Although I envisioned a tank, him using his size and potential force, not a 50 goals season.

10 years we've been waiting for him to grow into something and he didn't. Not complaining. It is what it is, he's our boy, will stay so even after a trade.

There is certainly major value left ... just looked at his stats this season, boy he fell off a cliff! There goes my 1st rd pick. If I was GM, any f***ing top-9 forward and top-4 D trade talk starts off with a 1st. Anyhow, work you magic Chris.

EP40 has been playing pretty bad for almost a year now. But if he was actually available, you would have to inquire. #1 centers simply don't become available that often. I know some people want to dream about McDavid, but that is very unlikely to happen.

It could be Bishel and a 1st. Maybe we get more than that. I was just thinking about what it might take from Dallas' perspective.

If we're trading away Kreider, we're probably looking more toward next year. Dumba can be removed in a variety of ways if we don't want to keep him around for the final year of his contract.
