Montreal executives were on the ground in Russia to meet with Demidov. Believed to be the first NHL executives to set foot in Russia since March of 2022. Sounds like they kept it under wraps and the executives are on their way back to North America. Demidov's contract expires May 31.

Zac Jones is a better candidate because negative reinforcement has a chance of fixing his decision making of making horrendous pinches.

Benching Ryan Lindgren will not help Ryan Lindgren because 1) he's cooked and 2) he's not getting benched.

He is an awkward lanky kid still and has hung in there with the very toughest heavyweight vets in the game, I think some people severely underrate his fighting ability and assume he would lose to run of the mill power forward types.

I am curious about something. What do people think/believe Chris Kreider is worth on the trade market? Kreider will be 34 years old in April. Two more seasons remaining on the contract. $6.5M cap hit. The real money is less. $5M salary next season. $4M salary and $1M signing bonus in 26-27. Kreider has 10 goals and 1 assist this season in 28 games. Is Chris the leading contender for the Cy Young award?

When Kreider's name was leaked as part of Chris Kreider's email/subtext, some people said the Rangers will only move Kreider for a huge return. There many people in the fanbase all of they have known is Kreider as a Ranger and they have an inflated opinion on his value. There was a girl on Twiiter/X who was having a fit over the Rangers trading Kreider.

Kreider getting supershaded but fact is he has 10gs while being pulled down by Mika +. You can imagine recovery from back issues, some lineup adjustments, and he is the old CK we know and love
