Voynov is a complete piece of **** who I want nowhere near this team. They want character guys, not a ****ing wife beater.
Fair consideration. I have thought it out, and I am torn. People can change, and he would certainly have to make that case to fans.

I think it’s over

It's not over, the league never was able to come to any conclusion about what they'd do as he left beforehand. Visa for the US and Canada, who knows

My point before was not about him, it was more about if the Rangers came right out and said forget Kovalchuk, perhaps he is in the ears of those two prospects.

Put yourself in their skates, kids thinking about leaving something comfortable where they'd get raises versus all the unknown if they did come over. Having Kovalchuk saying stuff one way or the other could influence their ideas.

If they think giving Kovalchuk a one year deal with bonuses helps bring them over, I could see that. If he is good they can give him another year or he can find another NHL deal elsewhere. But more so if that goalie and defender come over and are in the the system, partially because of maybe Kovalchuk, maybe Namestnikov too, if that somehow also helps Buch, Georgiev that is value beyond.

wait, this is all true???

Wife beater is an understatement. But that is off-topic for this thread. Frankly, I wouldn't even want this discussion being brought up at all. I'm asking others to just leave that at this and we don't go further, it is unnecessary.

Sher abd Rykov have 1 year lest so 2 year Kovalchuk Atleast plus Gusev is ufa that same year

Were details ever reported?

AV and the related coaching staff are going to be cleaned out. I have this from a personal source that was in communication with Rangers scouts and brass no less than 2 weeks ago. I trust him and he has strong NHL ties.

As long as Allaire stays which shouldnt be a problem since A hes the best goalie coach in the world and B he was here before AV

You can dig it all up on your own if you wish. But the responding officer described the amount of blood and destroyed property as something resembling a horror movie scene.

Let's move on, please.

Two things:

1) Slava Voynov can go f*** himself to the deepest depths of hell. f***ing cowardly piece of garbage.

2) Am I the only one who thinks a Zucc trade will be underwhelming? There’s better wingers in trade rumors, i.e., Hoffman and Patches.

Define underwhelming?

I think the trick is to get out ahead of those teams and Deal him first. Let Zucc set the market instead of the other way around.

The best thing value wise might be to wait until July 1st so the acquiring team can negotiate an extension. That would push potential picks to 2019.

I have a feeling a competitive team will offer a future laden package for zucc plus us taking a bad contract.

Another thing to look out for is Trouba. Arbitration year. Enstrom is ufa. We just flooded our prospect pool with LD.

Idk, I’d take a good prospect back over a pick but I just don’t see him getting back a package that’s suitable for me. I also really am torn on trading Zucc. That one is gonna hurt like a bitch.

And it's not too early to plan for the expansion draft. Supposed to be the same rules. We either have to track our sacrificial lambs or not just create a team of 21 year olds that will hurt to lose because they all got their 2 years in before the draft.

I’ve said it elsewhere, but I really think Gorton wants two top ten picks, and two shots at getting elite talent. Zucc is an obvious asset to get another #1,, and then Gorton will package one of those late 1sts with the #1 he gets for Zucc, and tries to move into the top 10 again.

Someone else suggested Skjei for Trouba, which I could see happening (with pieces added to finish the deal.)
