Wow. We just simultaneously made our 1st, 2nd, 3rd lines worse and our 1st and 2nd D Pairs. f*** this team man
I don't know about that. Cuylle has been great, but Kreider is an upgrade on him. Yes, Kreider hasn't looked great lately but look who he's playing with at center. I have no doubt he will become 200% better with Chytil and Kakko.

Zibanejad is out of excuses with the two best wingers on the team now playing with him. Panarin-Tro-Laf hasn't been lights out, so it doesn't hurt to mix it up as well.

Cuylle and Smith are not boat anchors for Trocheck. They will be fine.

The D-pairs are horror, that I agree on.

We just knew that Lavi couldn't help himself and would for no reason reward Lindgren. f*** you, you old f***. All you ever do is go back to how it's been when this team failed year after. You f***ing worthless piece of shit.

If he didn't want to play Jones he should have moved Schneider back with Trouba and Lindgren to the third pair. That's your change. No for no f***ing reason this old piece of shit moves Lindgren up because he's a #Warrior. I've had it with this coach and this team.

Lindgren being back with Fox is unremarkable in that it was as always happening this year at some point.

Mancini needs to sit and get demoted. He does noticable stuff that pops but then you look at the end of the game and he had a 35% corsi rate and got caved. Let him fly in the AHL. He'll be back

Trochek NEEDS to be forced into 3rd line ES or else Laviolette will kill him by Christmas. Guys been playing 23-25 mins. He's getting overworked badly.
I agree 100% about Trocheck. I know it’s early and it’s like last season was a career season for him, he hasn’t looked the same to me though. Laviolette has been using him like he’s f***ing Bergeron since last year and it’s probably catching up to him.

no reason to split up the Chytil line especially when Kreider would look much better with Trocheck and Smith

you knew those D pairs were coming, i love Miller/Fox but the other two pairings are like being on a sinking ship. you kinda have to spread them out, a Lindgren/Trouba pairing cannot be playing 15 minutes a night.
I think switching cuylle and Kreider isn’t a bad move.
Kreider is still the better player and can play a cycle game. Which is what the 3rd with Kakko tends to play.

Mika w Laf and Panarin has an opportunity to be great.
This is legitimately his best opportunity and I see no reason to not try and get him going this way.
Laf can play both north south and east west so he really can keep the line going.

Trocheck w smith and cuylle could work really well, as the line is 3 north south guys.
That line could be an absolute nightmare.

The defense is Lavi making the assumption, that splitting Fox miller is a net positive for all 3 lines as it splits the depth and gives the top 2 each a strong player. I think that’s the wrong call.
I think trouba Schneider looked good, and the insistence to force Lindgren into the top 4 is wrong.
I think this is the “safe” move which is what costs us every time. But i understand the coach wanting “safe”

Poor chytil and kakko. Expect zero production with Krieder.
I disagree. They have looked good previously with small sample size. And while Cuylle has started the season great, Kreider is an obvious upgrade on him.

I have no doubt Kreider will look much better when forced to play the cycling game with Chytil and Kakko.

Just yesterday I felt some hope in this team because that shit for brains dinosaur didn't break up Fox/Miller. But no, he's a f***ing shit for brains dinosaur. He would be on Facebook calling people clowns because they thought Fox played defense better than Lindgren because he's a #Warrior. Our f***ing coach sucks. As do all in this stupid league full of old men.

Outside of the Detroit game, Trochek has 4 points in 9 games.

If that line doesn't do well, it's because all 3 of those guys play at different paces and skating speeds.

Cuylle and Chytil playing at the same pace is what made that line go, IMO.

Typical NYR rewarding lazy/poor play and the bad contracts.
Or you can argue that this is an attempt to get Mika going. He’s been streaky at times.
If he gets hot, that’s exactly what we need.

Trocheck w smith and cuylle is a very strong north south line, that’s very heavy.

And the 20-72-24 is going to be cycle heavy with the occasional 2-1 rush from chytil and Kreider.

The defense is my bigger issue. I like the move on the forward lines.

Outside of the Detroit game, Trochek has 4 points in 9 games.

I think cuylle playing a cycle game well, while also being able to keep up w chytil was what did it. But ck can do both of those things, and has a better shot.

Cuylle has 2nd line upside. Kreider is a legit top line guy on a lot of teams.

So let me get this straight. Everyone here has been screaming about splitting up the twins for years, and now that it’s finally happened we’re still complaining? You can’t split those two up without nuking the rest of the lineup unless the expectation was to put one of the twins on the fourth line.

The D pairs. Yeah. Disaster. But, if they are doing this because the plan is to trade Lindgren and somehow find Fox a legitimate complement in his left, sign me up now.

I do not understand the wailing about the D pairs at all.

They have given up 33, 46, and 41 SOG the last 3 games. Of course they are going to go back to comfort pairings. Is this everyones first time following hockey or something.

Forward line mixups are welcome. D pairs are AIDS and he’s still not touching the stale ass power play

Nothing in his game the last year+ shows me he'll get hot. Maybe if he still skated above half speed and could receive a puck cleanly. Kreider could make that line even better but i'm scared Lav is going to give them third line ice time regardless of performance.

And agree on the defense, laughable pairs.

I think the Trocheck line gets the third line minutes. That’s not even a question in my mind.
