Id almost like to see them swap 20 for 50 and see what happens, but I don’t mind cuylle there for now.
That might be a later in the year move when the games are a lot tougher than they are right now...these games are just a step above pre season mode outside of a couple we have played and there has been a lot of pond hockey involved . Kreider at some point could end up on the 3rd line and it likely won't diminish his numbers as he will still score on the PP and probably /hopefully sustain his 5on5 goals . In doing so it should make us a bit more robust and which maybe allows them to make other roster moves at some point next season and or beyond especially if Cuylle can handle it .....it's a bonus for the team if they know they have a guy that can slide up and perform . Versatility in the top 9 makes us an even deeper club and one harder to defense against .

I means swap 20-50 and move the 20-72-24 line up as the official #2 line. Not a demotion to 20 but a demotion for 93

When Vesey is ready, Rempe is getting sent down. And there is nothing wrong with that. Let rempe develop while actually playing in Hartford. Carrick and Edstrom give us the size and tenacity we need on 4L. Hopefully a more polished Rempe can return in the second half when things maybe get a little stale for the group.

mea culpa on carrick. guy can skate and play a 4th line role.

i loved early in the 1st he wins a face off and just gives the habs C a cross check on the dot. setting the tone for the game.

These numbers are obviously going to fall off a but, who would be a comparable for Will Cuylle on his next contract?

Currently at PPG pace.
All production has come via 5X5
Leads team in Hits 29
Leads team in plus/minus +9
6th on the Rangers in SOG 14

Hes what 21, 22 years old? 6'3, 211 lbs.

Lets say the numbers tail off, but he finishes the season between 45-50 points. Early estimates were much lower for his next contract but if he continues to produce in multiple areas with lesser icetime then players in the top 6 this next contract could be an issue for Drury.

Sam is always in the blue paint. Was there for the 2nd Chytil goal and when Edstrom hit the post. If the habs were actually tough and not just "crosscheck in the back" artists (Looking at you Josh Anderson), Carrick wouldve fed someone their teeth. He can throw them.

Id give him an 8 year deal with an AAV in the 4s. Such a useful player, especially now that hes getting PK time.

Correct, the only players on the roster that don't require waivers right now are Edstrom, Mancini, and Rempe
And Cuylle.

Good comparables are Chytil, Kakko and Laf. Each of them got a 2-year deal following their ELC.

Chytil: 22 points in 42 games, got 2.3 x 2
Kakko: 18 points in 43 games, got 2.1 x 2
Laf: 39 points in 81 games, got 2.325 x 2

They were all around .5 points per game, more or less. If Cuylle gets 40 points, I would expect him to get a bit more due to the rising cap, maybe 2.5 x 2.

If Cuylle hits 50, we're probably looking at 3 - 3.5 mil per year.

Cole Perfetti just got 3.25 x 2 after putting up 38 points in 71 games (44-point pace).

Mercer got 4 mil x 3 after putting up 33 in 82, but he had 56 in 82 the year before.

we are kind of getting to the point where, even with lindgren and trouba subtracted, were gonna lose one of the other guys that in theory we do not want to lose:

Laf
Shesterkin
Chytil
Cuylle
Kakko
Miller
Edstrom
Jones

edit: how crazy to see the young players the Rangers have drafted and developed into the NHL.

Meh. The negative about Rempe to the Pack is that every two bit goon looking to make a name for himself is going to challenge him.
