Hasn't scored since the regular season finale last year. 28 games including the playoffs 😳

Everything with Fox in the offensive zone goes backwards or side to side. 0 directness in his game. he could score 20 and have 80 points a season if he just shot the goddam puck instead of trying to make a highlight reel pass.

Florida fired Gallant...and then the GM later and won a Cup....Vegas fired Gallant and then switched out the GM and won a Cup....G'Bye Drury ! Easier to fire the guy that signed some of the clowns and have them a bit more uncomfortable under a new GM .

I think a new GM could do wonders for this team . I think Drury has reached his pinnacle here as a GM and it is time for new eyes on the team moving forward. We have some big things happening on player negotiations in the next few months . It would be beneficial to get them right . Decisions have to be made on guys as to who stays and who goes .....we all know staying the same is not good . I hope they can get it right .

Now who should be the next coach and GM ?

For some reason, I always thought that Mike Richter would be a good GM

Would anyone do the following trade:

Mika Zibanejad --> Predators
Ryan O'Reilly + 2025 1st (Vegas or Tampa) --> Rangers

Mika waives his NMC to play in a no income tax state and gets to play on a line with fellow Swede Filip Forsberg and future Hall of Famer Steven Stamkos.

Preds are looking to shake things up. They get a center three years younger than O'Reilly that could get Stamkos going. Rangers get a more defensive-minded center that is better at driving possession. The trade frees up a PP1 spot for Lafreniere. O'Reilly is older but the Rangers get out of Mika's contract and get a low 1st round pick back. The Rangers save $4 million in cap space which helps them re-sign Shesterkin and Miller.

Why would Mika want to live in Nashville over New York The tax thing is overblown by fans. Lifestyle when you already make millions is going to win out.

Jones needs to continue to play and develop amidst a largely irrelevant regular season.

We need all the options on the table, for the playoffs, fresh and having gotten reasonable minutes. You can't assume Lindgren won't improve, but you can't assume he will either. NYR must plan for every contingency.

If the Rangers make a trade with the Preds, I want Zachary L'Heureux back in the trade

Mancini should play over Lindgren and Miller right now

I am never one to condemn effort by which I mean conditioning, dedication at practice, and competitiveness. I feel what we are seeing is not effort but essentially an aging core. With aging comes a loss of speed, reaction time and quickness.
That's ok, I will condemn it for both of us.

The last person I saw straight avoid contact and do nothing skating who WAS a great player was the last Messier season where he looked like a cancer patient. That is current Mika.

This is honestly a guy you just scratch.

If Nashville is trading for Mika, they are going to want to add him to O’Reilly. They lack center depth especially top six center depth.

If you are trading Mika to Nashville, (which I would certainly do), it’s probably going to be like Nyquist (expiring contract), Fabbro (if they can’t extend him/also expiring contract) or Lauzon (probably Lauzon) and whatever else you need to close the salary gap.

Mika to Seattle (also no income tax) for Gourde and Tanev (both expiring contracts) also kind of works. But yeah if they are moving Mika you need to move him to a center desperate team in a cap dump. That’s where we are at. Probably needs to be no tax state so he gets a raise to incentivize him waiving NMC which is obviously not a given

I think we had "Sad Gaborik" for stretches too, but never quite like this, and the style he played was more conducive to quiet spells of play.

The coach isn't the issue. Just like it wasn't with the last 3 coaches.

Put the lineup back together. Drury needs to take away the Lindgren toy.

Panarin-Tro-Laf
Cuylle-Chytil-Kakko
Kreider-Z-Smith
Ed-Carrick-Vesey/Brod

Miller-Fox
Schneider-Trouba
Jones-Mancini

Who cares what you get for Lindgren. Just trade him. Not every stupid trade needs max value. The value is in having our D be comprised of the guys that can all skate and play. You know? The 6 best players. Haha

Absolutely not.

The country club does not get YET ANOTHER COACH to f*** over before they are dissolved. Under no f***ing circumstances. No.
¿por que no los dos?

The coach is not helping. Yes the real problems are the core players, but the coach won’t do anything about it. Ruin the teams balance, chemistry and momentum to cater to the lazy ass vets who don’t want to break a sweat. Punish the hungry young players who were the only ones actually performing .

Maybe it’s coming from Mgmt? Idk how the coaching staff can be this dumb tbh
